CNN has accused the campaign of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz of making false statements about the network's reporting on the campaign of GOP rival Ben Carson. "Senator Cruz's claims about CNN are false," the network said in a statement Wednesday evening. "At no point did the network indicate Dr. Carson would suspend his campaign."
The network's reporting-that Carson would make a trip to Florida before resuming his campaign-came as voters in Iowa were preparing to make the first solid votes of the 2016 campaign. CNN's statement said "Dr. Carson's staff informed CNN that he would return home to take a 'deep breath' before resuming his activities on the trail. That information was reported accurately by CNN across TV and digital."

The fault for this whole issue lies at the feet of the Carson campaign. You don’t project weakness, you don’t allow bad information to go unchallenged, you don’t blame others for your message goon astray.
Doing anything related to taking a break right before the cacus was asking for this type of problem. This is an example why running a first time politician for president is a mistake. You don’t learn the ropes playing the super bowl.

The real teller of truth is no one got fired from Cruz’s camp over this lie and deceit. You’re not going to fire people that do what you’ve given your approval to. Same reason no one gets fired from the Obama administration after every scandal is discovered.

What makes you think the people posting nasty, personal, name-calling, vitriolic attacks on Cruz are Trump supporters? I think they are GOPe types who are part of a strategic campaign that is trying to spur on the idea that both Cruz and Trump are dirty, in order to promote Rubio.
I think these attacks on this thread are orchestrated by the Rove team or others like them.
Pay attention to the ridicule showing up on this thread and others. That is not the way that threads have looked on Free Republic in the last. This is Alinsky-type personalizing attacks in someone in order to ridicule him. That convinces me that we are watching a put-up job.
I will remember the FReeper names of those who are posting now, because I believe they are doing so in order to split the conservative voters as we are on the verge of taking over the Republican candidacy.
