I have loved Ted Cruz since he filibustered. I loved him even more since he.called McConnell a liar. Nothing Ted has done since then has changed my love for him.
But then there's the Donald. I love him too! I love how he has torn apart the political correctness and the conventional wisdom.
But how can I love both candidates and not be unfaithful to them both?
I wish they would stop fighting each other. I wish they would start fighting Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Thank You!
for posting this, it’s exactly how we feel.
Haven’t read the rest of the posts before replying but wanted to let you know how much we are totally are thinking the same way.
Love Cruz, Love Trump
Different reasons, for both.
Dream Ticket
Trump or Bust
It's easy to say one guy said it first.
It's easy to think the guy who yells the loudest said it first.
It's much more difficult to actually research something when you have been blind ed by the light.
Cruz has been at the forefront of a fight for the constitution and rule of Law for quite a while.
Im in the same boat as you, I support them both and I really really hate the infighting. Its Cruz supporters Vs Trump supporters, I know, its the nature of the beast called politics where everyone gets into their groups and supports their candidate, I just hope at the end of the day everyone can come together so we can defeat the Democrats, because NO ONE here wants to live under a Communist Govt, and that is what we will have under Sanders or Clinton, we mind as well just call America, Venezuela Lite
You are right, the way we are headed we will end up with Marco Rubio as the Republican nominee, and when the dust settles people will be saying “What, what happened, how the heck did that happen” and we can all look back to see what happened..infighting, all of us fighting calling each other names, and we get stuck with Rubio
I felt that way earlier, but I have scratched Carly off because she just isn't going anywhere, and I could vote for Carson, but he's really not going anywhere either, and I worry about his foreign policy acumen. For me, Cruz is #1, Trump is fading fast. Too bombastic, shallow, and too recently a liberal. He does have a gift for reading public sentiment.
Oorah!
The ticket to a better future by far :)
That's right...That's why I support Kasich...He has the best personality...
Support Trump.
Senators Cruz and Rubio are being portrayed as outsiders but that’s just not true.
They’ve both been part of the problem with our government.
Yeah, Cruz filibustered against Obamacare but he knew it was a done deal. After that, he voted for cloture on TPA which gave Obama fast track and gave us all the Iran deal. He also has consistently been for amnesty, if you like I’ll send you links. Like Rubio, he was saying prior to the race to just secure the border first then have a discussion what to do with the x million already here.
Trump knows what to do, send them back. Trump will build a wall, stop the Syrian migrants and keep us safe.
And with Cruz, Rubio, or any of the rest, what do you hear about jobs, real jobs. None of them have the slightest idea how to make money, they’re used to having it handed to them.
That’s another thing, Cruz and others except Dr. Carson, are taking money from oil, banks, open-border donors etc. Trump is the only one self-funding, not obligated to anybody but the people. Dr. Carson also only takes small contributions, not from major donors.
Vote Trump, he’s our last chance to fix this country.
It's a bottom dollar bet that Cruz couldn't make it from here to next Tuesday.
Bump for gravel ante guts and a spit in the eye
Stay off Free Republic until the primaries are over...no. Strike that. Until the 2016 election is over. Then, go cast your vote as your conscience and principles dictate.
Well if Bob Dole and Jimmy Carter agree that Trump is the best choice it should be obvious who to support.
Love your tagline. Did you wait till the third act to do it, though? ;)
You should take a long hard look at Trump. He is a bad man. He has been in the past and nothing has changed. Trump is a dyed in the wool progressive liberal and he will take us down the road to serfdom and tyranny..
I sympathize. I’ve been a Cruz fan for a long time now, and when I heard he had declared to run, I was thrilled. However, until very recently I was very pleased with Trump’s campaigning, since he was doing a great job of tearing down the stifling walls of political correctness that have helped keep Conservatism in the ghetto of public opinion. (I say recently, because I’ve lost a lot of my respect for Trump since he started saying things about Cruz that I’m morally certain Trump knows to be false. I don’t respect people who smear other people, and then when called on it, whine, “Well, I didn’t mean it,” or “Well, that’s what I heard,” etc.)
I think it boils down to who you think would be the better actual President (as opposed to being the more attractive campaigner). It will do us no good to win the White House and then have an ineffectual or outright bad President. If the GOP manages to get a bad President into office, we’ll lose the WH for another generation. Our president must do such a stellar job that all independents will admit it eagerly, and even Democrats will be able to do little more than mutter.
I don’t think Trump is that stellar guy. He is fearless (which is great) but that’s all I can say about him. I think he’s used to getting his own way all the time, and when he doesn’t, he reverts to the narcissistic behavior we’re seeing right now, with a stream of tweeted badmouthing and rants. That’s not Presidential. It’s not even decent manners. If a man I was dating acted like that, I’d dump him in a heartbeat. He says he can “make deals,” which seems to be true, but so many of his business deals have fallen apart and ended up in court.
Cruz isn’t perfect. He can seem stiff on stage, but I think this meme of “everyone dislikes him” is just that, a meme that has been put forward by his political enemies. I think he’s a brilliant man, a Constitutional expert, and a believer in the rule of Law, rather than a fan of the “strong man” theory. I’m sick of living under the “might is right” regime currently in place at the WH. I would greatly prefer it if we don’t install a Republican version of the arrogant SOB now living in the WH. For my money, Cruz is the better candidate for President.
Take me off your list..I no longer support Trump.
They reconcile and it could be an embarrassing love fest here.LOL, kind of like when "Itchy and Scratchy" were friends.
I used to love them both. Even donated to Cruz. But he turned sleazy.
