Rove's point here is one of those arguments that sounds sensible at first blush--only 4 votes per precinct doesn't sound like a whole lot, after all. But Carson's total was 17,000 votes (that's around 11.5 votes per precinct), which means than an increase of 6,239 total (or 4 per precinct) would represent a 30+% increase in Carson's vote total. Not plausible!
Rove's point also ignores that Carson out-performed both his polling average leading up to the caucus, and his entrance poll numbers. There is simply no support for the idea that Carson lost any support, much less any significant support, due to Cruz's misinformation.
Trump literally said he wants everyone to have healthcare and when asked who would pay for it, he said “the government”.
How the F does that not equate to government healthcare???
So telling a lie that amounts to election fraud is not cheating? In what world of ethics do you operate? It is becoming abundantly clear that many Cruz supporters have no sense of right and wrong ... No principles, but only standards - and they can always be lowered.
Cruz didn't just win Evangelicals. That's an assumption by the pundits. Trump and Carson got their share in Western Iowa. Cruz won most of the counties in Eastern Iowa as well.
Also this "4 votes per precinct" spin from Rove is actually 9000 votes - more than what all except the top 4 vote getters actually got statewide.
He could get away with it. Football genius.
Cruz is not conservative but you wish to ignore that FACT.
You can smoke screen all you want to but the fact remains that Cruz and his people lied and Cruz apologized. If he was not at fault why did he apologize? He thinks it will be forgotten. On the heels of that outrageous flyer sent out to the voters, it shows what a dirty politician he is.
If only 4 votes per 1500 team members changed , then 6000 more vote for Carson , 6000 less vote for Cruz and Trump is #1; but why stop there? What if 8 per precinct changed their vote , then 12,000 more for Carson and he beats Trump. What if 20 more per precinct vote for Carson and not for Cruz, then Cruz gets 0 votes. Pick a number, any number.
No. Trump makes himself look bad. He doesn’t need help from anyone else.

I think Rove's view is the "enemy of my enemy is my friend." He doesn't like Trump, but he despises Cruz over his Texas win.

It is cheating if you know it to be a lie. That’s fraud. By the time king tweeted they knew Carson was not out or leaving the race... That’s dirty pool.

Carson’s people are evangelicals. They would choose Cruz over Trump. Simple chaos game. There will be other incidents, but less perhaps, if somebody’s head rolls for this as it should.
