No, Cruz Didn't Win Iowa By Cheating. Here's Why Trump's Pushing That Narrative.
Daily Wire ^ | February 3, 2016 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 02/03/2016 8:18:51 AM PST by GodGunsGuts

...

Yesterday, Trump ripped into Cruz for supposedly lying about Ben Carson's decision to leave Iowa early, as well as the Cruz campaign mailer telling Iowans whether they had voted in previous elections. He then added, "No, it's honestly really, really dishonest. And I think I know why. You know why? Because he was born in Canada...He gets the nomination, they're going to sue his ass off."

...

Let's go through these bizarre, inane assertions one-by-one...

A couple hours before a primary election, you don’t tell voters that another person running in the election is going to drop out after the election, so vote for me instead.

No, a candidate with no real shot at the nomination doesn’t tell CNN that he is taking a break after Iowa and going home to Florida.

Any votes that Carson may have lost were lost due to his own statement which was then reported by CNN and used by other campaigns.

Instead of blaming Cruz (and ignoring Rubio), Carson should just say, “Gee, I didn’t think that statement through and how it easily could have been misinterpreted. My bad.”

“We all need to quit bashing the two top candidates”

I won’t “bash” either Trump or Cruz.

Neither is perfect. Either is better.

I will make observations and share opinions.

That is not what they have planned. Canada, Mexico and the United States will join into the North American Community. You can read about the plan Heidi Cruz worked on at: http://www.cfr.org/canada/building-north-american-community/p8102

After 3 straight days of constant negative attacks on Ted and unreasonable threads where peeps are calling him every name In the book- it just grows tiring- Day one people tried reasoning with them- nothing doing, day two people still tried reasoning with them, myself included, nothing doing ,and the responses by them started getting nastier and nastier- day three, and they are still going at it even after Ted apologized and it has become clear there simply is no reasoning with any of them- They are hell bent on crucifying Ted, and nothing will stand In their way- The only thing left to do is look on it with amusement- Heaven help FR IF ted becomes president- things will get really ugly then

I recall reading FR when Sarah Palin ran for VP- and I recall when Mitt Romney ran for pres- it was almost unbearable on FR with people slamming both candidates- criticizing every little thing they did and said- constantly - nonstop- It was guaranteed that if someone wandered into a palin or mitt thread they would get their head handed to them- looks like this election season will be no different- the lection took place, then those criticisms died down mostly- (with a few exceptions)

Trump is targeting Cruz because he is afraid.

No one will become president without some big connections that are dubious. Trump, Carson, Rubio — no one.

Then the question is: Which side the dubious connection is the candidate on? Are that a boss or a minion?

Spot on with one correction. I see Ted IS the establishment. I know, it takes some mental gymnastics but he’s the insider pretending to be the outside to beat the real outsider, when he knows who the REAL insider is that they want and will get - Rubio. Sigh, this is exactly how we end up in the same place every damn time.

she took the best opportunities of status and prestige

First of all, it is nice to know that low level managers at Goldman make $600k per year, nice work. But more than that, it is what you profess yourself to be - in this case devout Christians. Down to the front line, Goldman knew the Gaussian copula formula was not an economic model - in fact it was totally phony for the structured mortgage product they were pushing: that is why they shorted it after they sold it.

Hey! If that is the mainstay of the company you work for and it offers you the best opportunity, then go with it. Unless, of course, your personal faith and ethics will not allow you do to that. Some folks work for Planned Parenthood.

If Cruz was the establishment FNC wouldn’t have gone a full year refusing to mention his name until the primaries forced them to. Rubio is the GOP-e, here, who is using DT to trojan-horse Rubio’s way in.

Ted was the ONLY one attacking Rubio in NH. Trump has yet to bring up Marco’s own birther problems. Open your eyes. Please. :)

It seems a bit un-American to flatly accuse Cruz of lying under the circumstances of the article.

I guess you are a diehard Trump supporter, though, so you are at least nationalistic. (I just wish Trump's supporters could get themselves unconfused about good and evil.)

I’ve come to believe the Teddy defenders are all students of common core math. I said it yesterday and you said it better. This was no great feat Teddy pulled off, not by a long shot. If anything, what with the lies and deception and the entire media slamming him, what Trump did was THE feat of this Iowa voting.
