A Fulton, New York, woman is seeking donations to help her remove a "420" tattoo from her forehead.
Tabitha West created a GoFundMe campaign Jan. 20 to raise money for a tattoo removal.
The tattoo reads "420," which is a common reference to marijuana.
A message on the GoFundMe page reads: "I am wanting $ to get that tattoo off my forehead I want to have a better start out in life and have a second chance at life please help me I was young n dumb when I got that I'm older one looking for a job can't get out and people call me a druggie every day of my life and being called 420 is not nice and I almost killed my self over it...can't stand to look at my face anymore. .save a life save me..invest in me and I will show you I can be better with my life. ..thank you."
West set a goal of $800. As of Monday, more than $1,000 had already been raised.
Although West's tactic may have worked, not everyone seems thrilled by her decision to seek donations.
"Its people like you that keep my (sick) girl from getting help," Shawn Morse wrote on the page. "My daughter has three brain tumors, cerebral palsy, neurofibromatosis, an optic glioma, & a feeding tube. My daughters GoFundMe keeps getting passed over for things like this. There are too many people begging for money for their bad decisions in their life."
Jair Morales was more pointed in his response.
"People who donated.. you are all (expletive) idiots," he wrote.

There used to be legions of pro-tatt FReepers who would argue for days on end how looking like a boxcar was somehow a good thing.

I’ve never been drunk enough to want a tattoo. Not even a cute little dolphin on my lower backfat or ankle. Or a Notre Dame dude on my bicep.
Laz only needed one picture.

In the good old days around here, you could always find a "funeral carwash" to support the burial fund for victims of gangbang drivebys.....5 bucks was a good deal.
Now, they all have GoFundMe thingies -- so the car's a bit dirtier than usual.

yeah, bail her out so she can do something else that’s stupid. Then ask people to bail her out again.

I’ll bet dollars to doughnuts it was when he was stoned out of her mind. I guess maybe the 620 forehead tattoo might be hindering getting a job, because I see by her picture she has tattoos everywhere else, which can be covered.

And I’ll bet all kinds of people, like me, who have warned these idiots that they’ll regret marring their bodies with this nonsense were scoffed at for being stupid and out-of-touch.
This is a conundrum, though, because of our bleeding heart welfare system. If she doesn’t get the thing removed, she’ll be a ward of the state for the rest of her life.
But does she still smoke pot?

There are a lot of videos extant on the internet of laser removal, and it seems to be very effective. There is initial noticeable scaring, but I’m not sure how well this clears up.
