The debate night they had the ‘focus group’ all praising Rubio who then did a ‘surprise visit’ to them. Was all pumping Rubio.
Then election night, “Trump is done. He’s over.” Rubio won.
It’s non stop Rubio pushing and it all seems scripted. Like the talking points are circulated and people told to follow it.
I was listening to Rush this morning when a female Trump supporter called in from Kentucky and lowered the boom on Cruz for all the lies he leveled at Trump in the last couple of days. She said she had been a conservative her entire life but was fed up with do-nothing politicians. She said Trump is the only one that is not owned and is the only one that will go in and do what he says he’s going to do. She said Trump should have been tougher on Cruz in the last few days. She said she could see straight through his Elmer Gantry act and she couldn’t stand politicians that try to get elected by trying to say they are more religious than someone else. She said Cruz might as well have a picture of a carp on his back he talks about Jesus so much. Rush cut her off and started saying he didn’t like people who pretended to be Christians and then made fun of her for mentioning the fish. He also didn’t agree with a thing she said about Cruz. I agreed with every bit of it. I don’t think Rush stays up on all the current news like he did years ago. Getting soft in his old age. Now he comes out and calls this Gang of 8 traitor a real conservative. No Rush, Rubio is RINO of the first degree and would feel right at home in the democrat party.
You are doing the wrong calculus. The largest threat to the nation are the sellout backstabbing spinless GOPe. I will vote for Sanders or even Hillary before I will vote for another establishment Republican. They need to be gone.
Oh ya.. and he will point out how he helped him win when he was a nobody saying the right things and then tell you how he turned on him and supported the gang of 8.
There is no love of Rubio from Levin. But he will tell you Rubio is still better than Hillary.
We have been voting for 14 days now on the FR Caucus. While our totals aren’t going to match the outside, it is a good indicator of the group-think here.
I say this despite some of the dynamics that have changed over the last week or so, because today the Cruz vote rebounded and Trumps numbers fell here.
Over 14 days, Rubio has had:
Zero: 05 days
One : 05 days
Two : 04 days
While Rubio did reach 0.99% today, that is as close as he has come to taking one percent of the vote on any give FR Caucus day.
His total votes over the two weeks was 13, which represented 0.32% of the vote total for that two weeks.
Rubio’s platform isn’t even close to the Trump platform.
I wouldn’t vote for him, and I doubt any other Trump man would. The number one issue for me is illegal immigration. Rubio is TERRIBLE on that issue.
Rubio would never get the Trump vote.
i think limbaugh, per the gop media playbook, may be doing some early prepping of his audience. that they will of course need to “hold their conservative noses again” and vote for the gope, two-faced, amnesty pimp rubio (ala romney) as the lesser evil.
this is one of the reasons why the uniparty is so incredibly hard to beat.
Since you happened to listen to him today, did you also hear him compare Rubio to Reagan? That’s what I heard and he is out of his freakin mind!
Screw Rubio, likeable is in the eye of the beholder. I guess if one doesn’t give two s**** about the future of this country, he’s a rather likeable chap. He’s a kid for God sake.

But at the end of the day, what do we have? We have Rubio. We have Ted Cruz. And I’m gonna throw Ben Carson in because this is a crucial point. We have two genuine disciples of Ronald Reagan in the top three places in Iowa. We have a very strong outsider in Donald Trump, who is showing the way in illustrating how to oppose the establishment and what not to be afraid of. And then we’ve got Ben Carson. And I would have to say Ben Carson is a disciple of Ronald Reagan. When I listen to Ben Carson talk, I hear Reaganisms.

I wish to heck they would all be forced to live like real Americans and have their words come back to haunt them. The only one I think ‘might’ have a clue is Steyn. And that’s just a guess, I haven’t followed him or heard him in a bit but I hope he hasn’t lost his mind too!
