“the two top populist candidates”

Wrong.

Trump is populist.

Cruz is conservative.

I don’t mind, but we ought to be clear and accurate.

Yep, Rubio, or as I like to call him, fresh meat for Hillary.

Promote your candidate, but this tearing into Cruz or Trump stuff has to stop, or it'll be Rubio in the general, and thus, Hillary in the White House.

Rubio is too smooth, reminds me of a politician.

As for Trump and Cruz, I like’em both.

If Trump were politically street-smart, he would already be making a backroom deal with Rubio to combine forces against Cruz; a Trump/Rubio ticket would be unbeatable for the nomination (whether it could win the general is another issue). As a Cruz supporter, that is the one scenario that scares me.

I wish both Trump and Cruz would focus on their own policies - and what sets them apart - in a POSITIVE way, and quit making the Cabana Boy look like the adult in the room. Because he’s NOT.

Poor Laura...she doesn't recognize Kabuki theatre when she sees it.

All the back and forth between Cruz and Trump is a series of inoculations before the Presidential campaign. It's stealing a page from the Clinton playbook, i.e. when Hillary (or Bernie) brings up something negative, the response will simply be, "that's old news."

I don’t think it would work because Trump’s character is unreliable.

Or a Trump - Cruz coalition. Next two primaries will tell the story.

No. Trump/Santorum, Trump/Walker, Trump/Cotton, Trump/Duffy. There are quite a few conservatives out there that have a personality that would help win the election. Cruz is fine but he is to rigid and that sermon last night was boring after 20 minutes and it went on and on for 40 minutes.

Wrong Laura. I don't think it's Cruz that thinks he doesn't need nor want the Trump supporters. It's the other way around.

Read further below: Trump supporters, like their leader, are only happy to insult Cruz and his supporters as though we don't deserve a choice, if it's not for da man himself!!!

Trump's not a man to accept second place, second fiddle or second anything and his supporters follow his lead!

I’d be all for a Trump/Cruz ticket. Or a Cruz/Trump ticket.

Give me the energy, balls, and business savvy of Trump with the conservative values of Cruz.

If we want to lock things up for the next 16 years, probably have to be Trump/Cruz, though.

Let the Don shut down the border and sort out the Islam refugee mess. Cruz can help him make good SCOTUS picks.

Twitter is ablaze with Rubio gay stories at the moment. Some pics claiming to be him at a gay foam bath and a few others.

This I had not heard before.

All talk about Trump/Cruz coalitions are immature. It can only happen if one of them first drops out of the race. Any takers, no. In the history of presidential elections in their current configuration, this scenario has never happened, and never will. Talk of it is just childish. Both candidates when run as hard as they can, against each other, until one of them wins, or both of them lose.

What’s Cruz going to do about Canada? That isn’t going away because Mark Levin or Rush said...no chance.

My biggest fear is that Cruz and Trump could split the conservative vote and let Rubio the RINO sneak in.

Trump is more establishment than Rubio. Trusting Trump is a big mistake. It’s just a question of when you will get backstabbed.

I think Laura is trying to unite. It isn’t going to happen.

Never was because Rubio will get the nomination.

I hope that Trump will not say anything more what he is planning to do or his ideas as Cruz copies everything Trump says, Build a Wall, Support the Vets, Deport illegals, Tax reform. What has Cruz said in his campaign speeches that anyone else can copy? Not a Damn Thing.
