Just yesterday, people were predicting Trump in the 35 to 40% range. Instead he is at 24%

Maybe the polls showing his YUUUGE lead in New Hampshire are similarly flawed.

I suspect that since Trump is footing the bill for his entire campaign, he has gone cheap on the all-important GOTV effort. So I would expect him to consistently under-perform.

Not likely. Cruz is a constitutional conservative. He is as solid as they come. And pretty intelligent. Trump needs to go back to his casinos and strip clubs and get married again or something. He does not belong in this race.
