Which will, of course, subject Pastor's sermon topics to strict government approval.
It seems the "slippery slope" has already been crossed.
Boy this is going to be a great thread! Thanks!

An important enough issue you would have thought the Catholic Church would have energetically opposed Obama’s re-election.
Did not hear a peep from them.
This is frightening.

The Supreme Court is not the final authority on sin.
Supremes set date to decide ‘what is sin’
God already has the answer to what sin is. Look in the Holy Bible.
Well, they decided in the 50s and 60s that killing babies is a Right from God and that theft of private propery (welfare system) is a “Good” and that males mutilating their bodies are “Good” and that Males sodomizing others is “good”... That is dictating Good and Evil and ejecting Christianity from the minds of our children (culture).
And they have been “teaching” (programming) our children with those irrational, unnatural concepts for 50 years. Situational Ethics (antithetical to Objective Truth (Constitution)) was started fervently in 1970 in ALL public schools——forcing a pagan religion (faith) and Satanism (a religion) on our children as they banned ONLY Christianity. Materialism (religion), Humanism (religion), Mother Earth Worship (religion) ALL allowed in the classroom as they were allowed only to marginalize the Bible and Christianity——the concepts that led to the Age of Reason and Modern Science and the US Constitution and our “Justice” (virtue) System.
Funny how children embed the ideas and religions they are taught in the public skools /sarc.
SCOTUS has no “standing” to be able to define sin.
Slippery slope crossed?
We are way past that my FRiend. The slope has been crossed and we are at the bottom of the cliff.
This clearly violates the "free exercise" clause.
The US government has zero business dictating anything having to do with religion.
And that includes any moral issue -- such as "gay"marriage.
AND, that definitely includes ISLAM, and specifically forbids any accommodation to Sharia "law".
SCOTUS is so far out of it - it has taken other-world dimensions.
Outside of diverse state parties, valid SCOTUS decisions are based on federal questions. A federal question is first and foremost a question of whether federal (or state) action is within the limited enumerated powers delegated by the Constitution and consistent with it (or prohibited by it). “Sin” is not a subject delegated to the feds in any way shape or form.
Among other things, states MUST reject and nullify these outrageous unconstitutional realms and decisions this out-of-control Court wades into.
“If this appeal is lost, government becomes head of every religious denomination.”
It is already the head of every denomination and every church that incorporates itself and/or claims a 501c3 status. That which the state creates, it can control. The churches already ask for tax exemption (permission to not pay that which they would otherwise have to pay) and submit to licensing and approval of all levels of government.
The only way for a church to not have the improper head is to unincorporate and stop acting like a corporation. If you are in a corporate/state church, find one that has the proper biblical perspective with Christ being head over the church. Direct Message me and I can tell you if I know of one in your area.

Judges 21:25
My two cents...
Man does not determine what is sin, G-d determines what is sin . (Ref. Moses and the Ten commandments).
My apologies to atheists, pagans, communists, gaia worshipers, etc. reading this if I offended your "sensibilities."

Stranger in a Strange Land.........................
I think God has defined it. But hey, He’s out of the picture now since He was asked to leave some decades ago.
Sin is what Democrats tell us what it is - and their ain’t much left on their naughty list...
