I agree, Cruz is eligible. Truth doesn’t matter with the liberal press. I would think everyone here knows that. Truth doesn’t get reported but lies do. Cruz would be asked every which way at ever interview opportunity up till election day about those “reports” whether he is eligible.
Now, if Cruz had the ability to go over or around the press, that would be a different story. He doesn’t have that ability. If he did, he wouldn’t be known as the guy who shut down the federal government. Another lie told by the media and stands as true to this day.
You gotta wonder about some of the callers if they are not hand picked.....
I find that I listen to the drivby shows simply to know what my enemy is up to. I used to be a huge Rush fan,thats fading fast, but as you say even 24/7 has taken a dive.
I still like Rush. What started my weaning from his program is that every time he would play an audio clip of Obama speaking, I had to turn it off. I just cannot stand listening to that Marxist bastard. Even the top of the hour news on the radio gets shut off because of him. Music on Sirius is more soothing. :)
But what Cruz doesn’t get credit for is he is a great communicator. I believe he can talk to the American people and talk common sense to them.
However, if we don’t give him a chance, we’ll never find out. We’re falling into the same trap we always do - consider so-called “electability” before anything else. And guess what, all that has gotten us is losers.
I don’t believe we should do what we always do - which is settle for someone as our nominee who is not legitimately, authentically conservative. I’m having some real serious questions about Trump’s conservative authenticity.

I totally agree. Anyone who allows those two to walk into the White House...is guilty of war crimes!!!! (I can’t think of anything worse to say.)

Exactly. It seems as if Rush is willing to sell his conservative soul for the social circles he will have access to if he doesn't expose Trump as the progressive he is. This is a stunner to me as I would have bet my dogs' lives on the reliability of Rush's commitment to conservatism. Since I adore my dogs, you can be sure that I considered that would be an iron clad bet. Imagine my embarrassment.
Ted’s voice is a major problem - just as Hillary’s voice is her Achilles Heel. I can’t imagine listening to those two for the next four years. One of his commercials is blaring in my ear now - that whining buzz saw! Horrible.
I don’t feel his voice is a problem, but I am having a big problem with Trump’s massive distortions of Cruz.
You know what? The word conservative has lost almost all its meaning to me. Every Tom, Dick & Harry run as or claim to be conservative at election time. Where is all this “conservatism”? Conservative means a different kind of larger government.
The word conservative has also become a tool used to beat up someone who disagrees with you. We are past the point of conservative fixing what ails us. Radical change is in order to flush out the system.
The question in my mind, is can a purist win the general election against the clinton/dnc/gope/msm meat grinder?

A little exaggeration on my part, but the caller basically asked Rush why we should persuade people to embrace conservative principles if we’re going to call them a liar when they do, such as some are doing to Trump. It appeared as though Rush was saying he doubted Trump’s sincirety.
Are you seriously trying to say that Trump is a true conservative? It's one thing if you're supporting him, but surely you know that he's more progressive than conservative, right?
I'm curious. If Trump doesn't win the nomination, what GOP nominee would you not be willing to vote for?
Look for conservatism in a candidate’s record.
Cruz has proven himself to champion the conservative cause on a lot of issues to the point where every one of the establishment despise him. Doesn’t that tell you everything you need to know about whether he stands for conservative principles?
I find that one of the best ways to determine whether you should vote for somebody is to find out who is against a candidate. When I see all the vile GOPe’s that are against him and who will do anything to defeat him, I am drawn to Ted Cruz.
I am naturally repelled against the GOPe, and Cruz has proven he is the only one trustworthy enough to fight against their scum sucking, corrupt Washington ways.
It does not make any difference who you are, what you believe in, or how impressive your conservative credentials are... if you have not pledged money to Free Republic, there is something wrong with you
A purist is what we need.
We haven’t had one since Ronald Reagan, and where has it gotten us?
We should not be afraid to put up the most conservative candidate we can, because that is the only thing that is going to save us from this precipitous slide.
We are now at a Jimmy Carter moment. We need true conservatism in order to reverse this awful socialistic course.
