Debates are D-E-A-D.
Trump has just proven you don’t need them to win.

Pulling out of the debate helped him.

But I thought Trump’s absence from debate was going to finish
him off.

Apparently not.

Trump + Cruz appear to be roughly constant.

If Cruz threw support to Trump (which might be hard on his pride, but it would also free him up to be a credible liaison with respect to the conservative side of Trump’s “deal”) the rest of the field might as well just be gone. And in 2017 it will be the United States of Donald (kind of kidding).

I thought Cruz was supposed to knock the debate out of the park.

These aren’t debates. They are an opportunity for the media to manipulate the election process.

Whatever they are, you’re right, they are dead. And the media are exposed for the lying scum that they are.

If all of the other candidates united behind ONE challenger while the others dropped out, numerically they could take out Trump.

But it will never happen because a) the GOPe will never get over their white-hot seething hatred of Cruz, and b) Jeb Bush is some combination of entitled and deluded that will keep him from dropping out, no matter how low his polling.

Fox still hasn't released viewer stats.

Wonder how many Dems turned it on just to screw up the stats.

What’s with all the hate towards Cruz. The guy was a hero when he was the only one standing up the McConnell and Boner. The only one with the guts to filibusterer. Now he’s some kind of pariah... I like Trump but that doesn’t mean I have to hate everyone else.

Trump now back over 40, reclaimed any ground he lost in early January, and over 35 now in almost every big poll. Crosses 50% in MI poll today, beating Cankles by 3.

It will happen. It was a done deal back in July, both are just waiting for this to play out. I am more and more thinking the whole “birth certificate” thing was real, that The Donald wanted Cruz to take care of this before naming him veep.

The ease with which both Santorum and Huckabee worked with Trump’s event shows you how quickly these “rivalries” go away when winning is at stake. Just ask Reagan and “voodoo economics” Bush.

Also, Rubio and Carson would probably sooner eat their first born than throw to Cruz.
