I was all gung-ho for Kasich when he was running for Governor. He rallied Conservatives with his anti-Obama rhetoric.

Then he was elected and it all changed. He’s a liar.

So now consistent Conservatives are trolls. People who vet their candidates are trolls.

I don’t think you know what the word means. Trump can sew up the nomination; doesn’t mean he will win the general.

Not without the base, that is.

We’ll talk more once Trump has sewn up the nomination.

Rand Paul won my vote last night. I was down to Paul or Cruz for my top picks but Rand Paul definitely won me over. He is the the more genuine candidate. Cruz seems too rehearsed & phony. One thing we need in a president is honesty and consistency and Rand Paul surpasses those expectations. Paul has the most impressive voting record in the Senate and is absolutley the smartest, not to mention most conservative candidate. I like his plan to fix our economy and understands foreign policy far more than any of the other candidates.

But on this forum, I get really tired of Cruz and Trump supporters making personal attacks.

Except for a few dozen posters, I think most of us are.

I made a conscience decision several weeks ago not to respond to attack posters. I only responded to you because many posters aren't aware of the long and unbroken record of the attacks by Cruz supporters.

As a former Walker supporter I have endured their wrath and personal attacks for over a year.

I had one supporter say to me "Get the hell out of the way, this is too important, we don't have time to answer scum like you".

This will all change beginning next Tuesday as I see it, and they will essentially go away by March, so I'm just sticking it out.

As a final comment, are you aware of the website that Freepers Cruz supporters go to and conspire to 'burn down FreeRepublic'? And some of these are still here on FR, trying to throw as much digested food against everyone as they can.

I just dint get it! Why do republicans let sleazy media types manipulate and attack them at a function intended to showcase the best and brightest the republicans have.

There are hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars and numerous billionaires behind these Presidential contenders...Every one on the stage if he is not already will be a multi-millionaire when he leaves office...All you have to do is look who is supporting these people financially...

Even Ted Cruz...His multi-billionaire handlers offered a million bucks to Trump's military charity if Trump would debate Cruz 'off the record' so to speak...

It doesn't seem to interest many people that the same billionaires who are supporting Cruz are also supporting Rubio...Cruz's dad was an immigrant from Cuba...And somehow Cruz is currently a millionaire...Politics pays and pays good...

I think it started when Trump claimed citizenship was an issue for Cruz.

No it didn't...Prior to that Cruz was at a meeting with his billionaire bundlers and and he made a disparaging comment about Trump...Someone at the meeting recorded the comment and leaked it to the press, and to the world, of course...

Rubio was much like this to me. I think Cruz was exactly right in the last debate about Rubio making promises he did not keep. Cruz kept his promises.

Cruz flip flopped on illegal immigration and it's still not clear exactly where he's at...That gives him room to flip flop again...Cruz said he would rescind all of Obama's illegal executive orders...That's not good enough...All of Obama's unethical orders need to be rescinded as well...

Will Trump? Are we even clear on what he has promised to do beyond stopping the immigration of Muslim terrorists?

Trump has been as clear as he can afford to on many issues...Did you notice how Cruz stole Trump's thunder when he pretty much copied Trumps position word for word on Obamacare and steal it for his own???

Bush did the exact same thing with his position on the Veteran's administration...Just about word for word of Trump's proposal...Scoundrels...

No argument against what you said about Paul but you do realize this person has to win? I think Paul is the most “constitutional” but if he runs against Hillary, I just don’t see how he wins. We need someone to blow that place apart (the den of iniquity) and while he is a principled candidate, I just don’t think he’s what we need right now.

It's like Cruz gave a prepared speech while Paul spoke from the heart...

Had never heard of the site you mentioned.

Seems like we have a lot of people trying to be manipulative here instead of simply making their case.

Lot of people have come out of the woodwork that I never saw posts from before until all this nastiness started.

I hope you are right about the effect of the outcome Monday.

I do not get the Rubio votes. Rubio was smarmy, like a kid reciting memorized text. He is an empty suit, controlled by his donors, refusing to answers questions regarding support from Orlando Cicilia, former frontman for cocaine kingpin Mario Tabraue. In my opinion, he does not qualify as a nbc.

Those who say they would not vote for Trump in the general because he is a liberal apparently prefer somebody to the far left such as Sanders or Hillary.
