What do you want to bet that Cruz shuts up about a one on one debate?
I think Trump has a point. If he’s alleging Cruz is ineligible, why should be waste his time debating him?
Trump has a good point. Cruz has a lot of unfinished business he needs to clean up before asking for the support of the American people. He currently is in violation of the law after filing a false FEC campaign disclosure document, he declaratory judgement confirming his eligibility to run, etc.
Cruz should take care of his own business before playing these talking point games with Trump.

The way it is now is if Cruz has to prove he’s an American citizen he shows them his mama’s birth certificate. He has never applied for nationalization papers. I’ve heard him say it. He says “my mother was born in the states, therefore I am a US citizen”. Well, OK Teddy, if you say so. HaHaHaHaHa. If that’s the case anyone can say they’re an American and not have to prove it.
Its the logical decision.
But the mouth frothers won’t accept it, to them they are trying to make America a land of looter laws, if he gets away with it so can i!
McCain was sued by crackpots over eligibility too. It was a meaningless incident that had no effect on anything.

Trump’s team is brilliant.
Trump knows exactly what can/cannot be done, and he got exactly what he wanted done with the statement.
This is a perfectly legitimate statement. If Trump has doubts about whether or not Cruz is eligible, why debate him.
Cruz should have gotten that issue taken care of before he even started his campaign.
He is, read his book.

It’s not possible to “set the matter straight” in any way that would preclude the dem’s trying to sue. Even if they did sue, they would lose, and the case would take years.

Of course not. But, it would be much easier to bat down the critics if Cruz has legal clarification.
