>>> he’s a first-rate jackass.

I am very wary of Trump (thinking him not a conservative), but I would say that what endears him to me is the fact that he *is* a first-rate jackass. It will take such a jackass to tear down the edifice of political correctness, and he seems to be off to a roaring start.

I don’t like it when I see his barb directed at conservatives, but then I tell myself that politics ain’t beanbag, and a hard-knock primary better prepares the candidates for what the ‘Rats and the media will throw at them.

Scores a six-point shot!

Think about it. If Sen. Cruz wants to keep this topic alive, he can. Or he can stop with the attempt to draft in Trump’s wake, which is what this is all about.

Forget the coward remarks, folks. This was a riposte from Trump that works multiple ways to his advantage and Sen. Cruz’s disadvantage.

BTW, I like Sen. Cruz. Will support him big-time in the general. If he gets the nomination. Especially bc if he does, he’ll be a true miracle worker. My prediction is that voters in every state, by large majorities, favor Trump because they have the same frustrations as he expresses. That he will win so big bc people don’t want to argue about it or even expose their preferences. Until they pull the lever in the voting booth.

Not comparing Trump to Candidate Ronald Reagan here, but I remember the election night vs. Jimmy Carter, how it was supposed to be a horse race, how I’d planned to stay up all night. It was over before my first bowl of popcorn was done popping. Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to see the phenomenon again. In spades.

And. If I’m wrong, hold me to it. I’ll own up to it. Maybe quit the prediction business.

Nota Bene: I made my point without calling names. Kindly return the politeness.

I’m honestly not sure if trump is eligible to run for presidency. If he will get a federal judge to rule on that I’ll consider him possibly. Until then . . .

According to Trump, maybe. Cruz shot passed the rest of the field based on his debate performances. In particular the one where he took on the CNBC moderators. He’s done quite well in debates. I’d say Trump got some points on him last time, though. The Iowa numbers shifted before and after that last one.

Trump would get killed in a debate with Cruz and we all know that. And, more importantly, Trump knows it as well. So I’ll give him a couple of points for inventing a reason to avoid the Cruz Trap.

If that’s the case anyone can say they’re an American and not have to prove it.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I don't think Obama proved he was a natural-born citizen. No one could even locate his allegedly original birth certificate until well after he was inaugurated.

Well, why, exactly, is Trump willing to debate Cruz now, but not when it is down to the two of them? What is the logic of that? Answer: there is no logic. Just more Trump inanity.

Boy, that Trump. I might not be voting for him but he sure gives the uptight a major case of the puckers.

Ted knows lots of lawyers and judges. Does DT really think he’d slog through a POTUS campaign if he was likely to be ruled ineligible?

Does Cruz know he's not eligible? If so, he needs to admit it. But Trump's request is reasonable---judges have ruled against the constitution for a long time, ignored it, and rewritten it. So I expect Cruz to be ruled eligible, as the Establishment will insist on it. GS $ to Roberts will do it. Get a signature loan from Goldman Sachs. OR does Cruz know that by his own words defending the constitution, to be consistent, he's not eligible because the constitution says you must be born on U.S. soil.

Would the Heavyweight Champion schedule a fight with a 40 pound midget? of course not, because you have to meet the ELIGIBILITY requirements to be the Heavyweight Champion. Would Trump debate the president of Venezuela? Raul Castro? Merkle? ...You know what---Cruz should debate TRUDEAU.

If he’s alleging Cruz is ineligible, why should be waste his time debating him?

If Cruz IS ineligible, why should Trump waste his time debating him?

(I kept the word *if* but dumped the word *alleging*)
