It’s pretty customary for a candidate far in the lead to decline debates where possible.
Trump IS handling them.. He’s calling the shots.
Really interesting! This starts to reveal Trump as President - letting others know who’s boss.
Look, these debates have run their course, no undecided voters are watching and those of us who do aren’t going to be persuaded to change horses. Trump has a huge national lead and now has again defined the terms of the debate on a collosal scale.
They won’t be talking about who said what at the debate, they’re going to be talking about who wasn’t there!
And hey, here’s one Ted can win.-

So what. There have already been plenty of debates. So now, we have a gaggle of losers exposing themselves longer... that is to those who care to watch.
As always, Trump makes it about Trump, not this country. He always has to be the center of attention. If he can dictate to FOX, how will he expect the press to bow to him if he is president? And no I am not a fan of FOX news. I haven’t watched it in years. I find Kelly almost as self-centered as Trump. This is not about Trump or FOX news. It’s about the democratic process.
They asked if he was scared, he said no but he’s done six debates and there’s no end in site. It’s for the money, not for us to get the issues.
Like he said, Democrats already done with debates.
A lot will watch, but a lot will not. It is time for the FOX media to be accountable. I mean, MSNBC Morning Joe is far more enthusiastic about the Trump campaign, but FOX used us and now dumps conservatives.

Well if Trump can’t handle it than he’s not much of a man. Trump is scare of the girl.

Perhaps less because he will sponsor a fund raiser for vets and wounded warriors...and televise it on a competing channel...at the very same time as the debate.
Personally, I think it's a brilliant political move. He'll have the 20mil audience, they'll witness him doing something good.

I read Trump is going to have his own event, and raise charity funds for veterans at it.
He is so manhandling the disgraceful media. Wait until he occupies the OO. Then the fun will start.
He basically had that last debate and got schlonged. Cruz’s numbers started to crater right after.
Good for Trump...he isn’t afraid of Megyn, but why get blindsided by one or more “gotcha” that she has been planning for months.
2ndly I wasn’t going to watch anyway, because of who the 3 bushwacking monitors are going to be.

I assume CNN will post the pre-rally news conference Trump had in Iowa this evening. The way he handled the reporters was a sight to behold. There never was any doubt he was in complete charge. He stuck it to a smart _ss reporter who chopped up the abortion statement he made to Tim Russert. Later he asked the guy for an apology and when it didn’t come he ignored him. Then he issued his ‘likely’ not to go to the debate statement.
I heard that he was going to give to Wounded Warriors in lieu of the debate,FWIW.
