The utter vitriol here surrounding Trump astounds me. I've never seen anything like it.

Oh come on now. Liberals have been treated that way around here for years.

WHY won't Fox donate a portion of the millions they're making?

Sounds like something Bernie Sanders would say.

Let me answer that, 10mountain, it has everything to do with the debate. Someone needs to ask Trump about his attempt to keep Reid and Pelosi in charge of the Congress. Yes I know Boehner’s a loser and Ryan has us worried, but that question should nonetheless be asked of Trump and I doubt CNN or ABC or anyone else is going to ask it. But Fox might. But now they won’t.

It just bothered me that the defense people have in their minds “oh, it was 20 or 30 years ago.” Trump’s had a lot of looney left ideas in the last decade. I want them explained by something more substantive than “hahaha, I got them to come to my wedding, hahaha.” A good place to ask him is at the (no-show) debate.

But they don’t devour their own. They circle the wagons.

As I understand the ad business, they've sold the ad space and projected a certain viewership. Now FOX won't be able to deliver. And why? Because of that childish press release.

This is a huge deal to FOX, and they are in a no=win position.

That there is no doubt which is the correct answer is what Trump had already figured out. Probably as soon as the first bloody debacle was over if I was a betting man. Amazing that even some of the ones here that are paying attention hath not ears to hear nor eyes to see.

Best election ever in my voting life. Go Trump!

Trump captured news cycle for next 3 days, smothered Competitions’ message, diminished FNC debate, upended all game plans.

GENIUS

@NolteNC Right!! How pathetic is Cruz now accusing Trump of being afraid of Megyn Kelly. Setting up http://DonaldDuck.com
what a joke!

Cruz immediately said "well he wants to use taxpayer funds for Planned Parenthood"!! Another lie from Cruz. Trump has repeatedly said he is against funding PP.

You may want to recheck that. Cruz told the truth.

Donald Trump Defends Planned Parenthood

Earlier Tuesday, Trump backed off his demand that Republicans shut down the government rather than give federal funding to Planned Parenthood. Republican leaders in and out of Congress support shutting down Planned Parenthood entirely and shifting funds to community women's health providers.

Trump reiterated on Fox that he opposes abortion, but thinks Planned Parenthood's other services ought to be given a second look.

I like a lot of the things Trump has said.

His comments about Pelosi and Reid are not one of them.

I think he could have said he was willing to work with moderate democrats
instead of naming Pelosi and Reid.

It wont affect my vote, but it could affect some others.
The GOP works with Pelosi and Reid now, do they not?
In fact, the GOP works with Obama.

I can't stand Trump, and his constant whining about people picking on him is petulant and babyish. I even sided with Megyn Kelly on their dust-up because he got called on statements he'd made just like other candidates do.

That being said, I think the Fox statement was as bizarre as anything I've seen from Trump. And I don't think it is necessarily bad if Republicans are willing to walk away from debates they see as unfair (though I don't think this one really qualifies). We've been bending over it and taking it from the Candy Crowleys and Gwen Ifills for far too long, based on the perception that we "must" accept the debate terms proposed by that stupid Commission.

I don't mind a precedent being established of candidates exerting whatever power they have to challenge that.

I’ve known a Mensa or two in my lifetime. You don’t want to join that team. But to your point: Why don’t folks enjoy the Trumpless debate? After all, he won’t be sucking the oxygen out of the room, and all their favorite candidates will have room to maneuver toward the spotlight. Instead they trash the Donald? Sounds a lot like the WaPo advising voters as to all the reasons Cruz and Trump will lose to Hillary. Well, shucks, we should have thought of that and gone for Jeb, right?

I can’t wait for this primary to be over (what, couple days from now?) so we can all get on to bashing the Bern.

Now Fox has invited some Muslim anti Trump guy to ask questions. That is poisoning the pond IMO. Trump will be glad he took a pass.

Strategic blunder by team Trump. Show up and debate. Don’t run and hide just because it’s a moderator that you don’t like.

Seems petty and weak in my eyes

So which candidate really is? And by the way we’re not electing a spiritual leader, simply someone who will lead by following the Constitution.
