He didn’t articulate his position he read Dr Seuss. What I hate about this process is that someone I respected Ted Cruz is becoming someone I am increasingly negative about. I admired his principles but find they are situational. I was satisfied that he shut down congress at the time because I am so disgusted by both parties.

Now I feel as though in a sense I have grown past that stage. If we elect someone who can’t bring parties together we will have gridlock and all will remain the same. As unsatisfying as it is to work with the Dems at all I think someone like Trump who has relationships with the other side is best able to hammer out solutions that will be in America’s interest.

I find that I am not sure we actually have a true conservative in the race in any case because I do not trust Cruz’s backstory between the donors, the Goldman Sachs connection and his support for 500% increase on H1 Visas. Trump despite warts has many conservative positions on issues I believe are most important and I think he would be able to be elected partially because he is on some issues less conservative than I.

Just what was the question? I’m sorry, but someone who held dual citizenship isn’t a born and bred patriot.

Don’t you think the Grey Cup winning Edmonton Eskimos would appreciate a ceremony at the White House?

Never think any politician is the answer, or crony capitalist playing at being a politician.

And beside that the guy was obviously born stupid, just like Michelle Malkin! We’re those two separated at birth, or what?

Why cuz everyone is joining your cult? You guys are nuts. Cruz is a nut. You belong together. I hope Trump puts him on the Supreme Court so we don’t have to see him as much anymore. He is probably the Ted Kennedy of the Senate if Trump doesn’t put him on the Court. We’ll never get rid of him. You cultists love him for some reason.

Thank heavens someone of FR can look at the candidate from the perspective of Average Joe. Cruz looks like he was separated at birth from Grandpa Munster. He needed plastic surgery to shorten the base of his nose so that you can see an upper lip. I have NEVER held the looks of a candidate as a disincentive to like him/her before but, other than Hillary, he is the most unattractive candidate I have ever seen and NO PICTURE is flattering to him. Which could be ok--if he seemed like someone who was comfortable in his own skin. He is uptight. Instead of being open, he seems condescending. He seems humorless and cold. He has been told how smart and wonderful he is for so long that he holds his body stiffly---really needed to work with a coach before going on prime time. Hillary is a slight bit better, not much. The sleaze factor on that man reminds me of the gypsy salesman in Oklahoma...or the huckster in Green Acres.

The only reason this is significant is that millions of new voters grew up watching tv and are media savvy. And, let's face it, there aren't a bunch of co-workers at his side talking about how great he is to work with, which might humanize him. If evangelical ministers are his greatest supporters, they should have given him some tips on how to use the camera to market his message better. Like Joel Osteen, maybe he should have learned how to "start with something funny"... And really being funny would have helped make him seem real.

I’m sorry. I should not have hoped for an intelligent conversation about this.
