You’re missing the point. You are in fact worshiping the idol of a mental model that you declare all candidates have to fit, even if in fact they say they don’t....
We worship a true God “who will do a new thing.”
Trump, like his namesake brass piece, is the instrument. He isn’t the player.
Who toots the horn and what music it is, matters infinitely more than where it has been and what it has played.

Trump, in 2013, endorsed communist Bill De Blasio for New York City mayor. He supports Obama’s opening up to communist Cuba. He loves Putin. He, in his mid-50s, supported gays in the military AND partial birth abortion.
There were a lot people on the Obama band wagon early on including a lot of the Establishment Republicans.
So many of the GOP pundits voted for Obama including Peggy Noonan so Trump saying nice things about Obama is no real surprise.
If you prefer the faux conservative who made these comments to be the next president, you’re the one who’s “pathetic” - and incapable of critical thought.

So much of what you say simply is not supported by his books going back many years.
All I can is that there is lot of disinformation out there on Trump.

All matters which we can discuss... but are you being a Cruzbot in the meantime? This fellow has also proven to have clay feet, to the point that I’m even asking his enemies to have some reason.
Be careful of hypocrisy.
God can do a new thing. The question we ought to be asking is who seems to be the most open to that. And IT MIGHT NOT BE CRUZ, WITH HIS EVER MORE OBVIOUS PRIDE PROBLEM. In the meantime, Trump’s deal offer hasn’t visibly wavered.
