I compared and contrasted Cruz and Trump this morning.
Both have skills to control the questions and think on their feet. Both are very intelligent.
Trump has developed something unique over the years. Trump has a soft, not harsh, voice and speaking patter. Trump does not have to raise his voice, Always the same soft rythmic patter. The content of Trump’s message can be at odds with the delivery.
Cruz, I think, lets himself raise his voice and/or strain his delivery. That belies Cruz getting emotional.

Trump, again using his voice and choice of words, can and does stick an unexpected verbal shiv into your belly.
MSM guys are repeatidly unaware and surprised and do not realize that they are bleeding out.

Also, Trump being very coy on whether he would file an eligibility suit against Cruz. Trump reminded Stephy he is very good at lawsuits and normally wins?!?!?

I found that very interesting as well. Was Trump sending a shot over the bow? Will other candidates see this as a way to torpedo Cruz should he get the lead?

Personally, I would like to see Cruz challenged just to resolve this issue, which is not settled law. It should have been done with Obama. I anticipate that the courts will find in Cruz's favor, but I'm not totally convinced given the variables involved.

Cruz should welcome it, because the Dems will make it an issue should he get the nomination.

So when was the last time a Democrat appointed either a moderate or conservative to the Supreme Court? They never do as they thoroughly bet them. Republicans are afraid of the fight to nominate solid conservatives unless a deal is struck to give away one of their appointments.

Just stop, ok?

Trump never said that, and now says he is against abortion.

That’s a lie. He once said he was for abortion, without qualifications. You could then say that partial birth abortion is “delivering a fully developed baby feet first until only her head is still in her mother’s body and then STABBING HER TO DEATH.” and it IS!

But Trump didn’t say that. He now says he is against abortion, so I could write that as “Trump now says he is AGAINST delivering a fully developed baby feet first until only her head is still in her mother’s body and then STABBING HER TO DEATH”

So, are you saying he is a liar, or you do not trust his assertion that he is against abortion?

Seriously, this country is full of people who have changed their minds on abortion. Why can’t Trump?

I would love to be a fly on the wall when the FBI finally does interview her. It won’t be like her disgusting public performance in front of the Benghazi committee. She can come in like Queen Bee with her entourage, but I’m sure the smirk will quickly be off her face. If the FBI “interviewing” her is serious about what they’re doing, she might just go ahead and have another stroke. BTW, Mr. Kendall, her lawyer, is in a good bit of doo doo himself I suspect, if the FBI wants to go that route.

Trump reminded everyone of the lingering smell after the towers fell.
I do not recall the MSM reporting on the smeell.

That said, everyone remembers the lingering smell!

Cruz should lose, and Obama should be arrested. Cruz should then go on to a major cabinet position.

Somebody said “win ugly, lose graciously”. The Repubs have been losing “graciously” the last couple of elections (this equates to “stupidly” in my opinion). The gloves need to come off with the Libs/Progs/Dems who have no qualms about winning this way themselves. Of course, you have those who don’t want to get “down in the mud” alongside the Libs/Dems/Progs, but at this point, we need to WIN or there won’t be a country left where people can be “gracious”. I only see one candidate who is “gloves off” at this point .... that is who I will vote for.

MTP doesn’t come on here until 10 my time. I planned on watching him then switching to the Seahawks game.

I suspect I’ll have some thoughts after watching the interview (why he or anyone on the GOP side goes on Lil’ Georgie’s show is beyond me, and I’m sure he didn’t get the softballs that Hillary! got).

I’ve been reading many of the Cruz and Trump threads since the debates. I recognize your name from some of them and you are obviously pro-Cruz (or posting that way) and very anti-Trump. Therefore, I’ll take what you said in your post under consideration, but somewhat with a grain of salt.

It’s interesting to me that most Trump supporters say that they will support Cruz if he ends up being the nominee; however, the Cruz supporters refuse to support Trump and are almost rabid at times. IMHO we should all be in this together and support whomever the Pubbie candidate is (while it’s early, looks like it will be Trump or Cruz)and quit the ugly attacks against the other guy and especially FReepers - it’s just fodder for the Dims and doesn’t promote camaraderie amongst FReepers.

The Reps have lost the popular vote in 5 out of the last 6 elections. They should welcome a candidate who has been able to draw large and enthusiastic crowds. At this point, we need a winner regardless of labels. Demography is on the side of the Dems.

Remember Robert Bork? He didn’t make it, but would have been a GREAT Supreme Justice. He was borked, as we now call it, by that fat woman-murderer Tedward Kennedy.

And Justice Thomas? A pubic hair on his coke can? Does anyone REALLY think he said that, and if so, that is harassment? Compared to raping someone, biting their lip, and then telling them to put some ice on it????

Why can’t we—when we are the majority—do to democrat nominees what you know they’ll do to ours?

Just ONCE!!!

How the heck can they just let a Sotomayor or Kagan waltz right in?

Those two were RIPE for true ridicule based on millions of words they wrote and spoke!!!!

Thanks for your suggestion. No - my modem is upstairs in the bedroom and I don't know if it has a battery. I have had it for some years and the last guy I spoke with at Comcast assured me this new, improved version is what I needed and is shipping it to me free of charge (hope this one comes with some directions so I know if it has a battery, etc.). Speaking of the batteries in the garage - I got a new battery in my right before Christmas. It worked for a little while and then my car died (luckily right by my home) and I had to have it towed to the garage and have a new alternator installed . Knock wood it's working OK now.

I can hear the FBI interview with Hilary right now well to the best of my memory or as much as I can recall or I seem to remember then they’re not going to lay a hand on her she’s just too damn slick. They would have a better chance of making a case for obstruction of justice in anything else

.

I'm clearly on record on being a Donald Trump admirer, but a staunch Ted Cruz campaigner.

The other night Donald Trump said he would NOT pursue legal action against Ted Cruz, now Donald has changed his mind.

Sadly, I now admit to being "wrong" about the Cruz-Trump "dust-up" as political theater.

Apparently, Donald Trump's ego can NOT deal with being second in Iowa ... that is a BAD sign.

So sad.

Not even George S. Patton, Jr. believed he was ENTITLED to WIN every battle.

Scalia’s comments were reports as if they had racial overtones. Unless you read what Scalia said verbatium, I can see why Trump would be critical.
