I am starting to believe that Cruz started this whole flap with the Donald in order to tap into some of that “free publicity” he has been garnering since the outset. It’s working. Cruz has been on the front page for a couple weeks now.

Lawyers and liars. About as good as it gets.

You struck the core of the left and some on the right also why Trump is doing as well as he is.

He is "NEITHER"!

Lawyers own Delaware.

I can’t stand them.

Well, if you want to compare speculation versus reality, I’d point out that Ronald Reagan himself appointed Sandra Day O’Conner and Anthony Kennedy, and between the two Bushes we got David Souter and John Roberts.

Let’s face it. There is no way to know how a Supreme Court justice will go after he/she is confirmed.

Reagan was right on the money with Antonio Scalia and the Bushes with Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

But Trump saying he likes his judge sister is NOT descriptive of who he’d nominate; I’m sorry.

I think Trump, if elected, will surround himself with very smart people/subordinates who will advise him on who would be the best candidates for the country. I really do.

However, consider my list above FRiend. There is no way the above justices who turned out to be liberal would have been nominated if the presidents at the time knew what we know now.

Reality is the best teacher.

Still, I had to chuckle at Trump’s sister’s name:

Maryanne Barry!

Wasn’t she mayor of Washington DC?

——He speaks the truth from his heart without a script or teleprompter to deliver some of the most interesting and entertaining speeches of the trail while he builds his movement——

These were exactly the qualities that attracted me to Dr Ben Carson. He is the far purer conservative but lacks the overwhelming charisma of the Donald. Alas, he is dwindling as this fact is realized and supporters abandon him apparently for Trump

"Another way to pronounce lawyer would be LIAR."

By your definition, Trump is a liar, too. How can he support Pelosi, Hillary, Dirty Harry,,,,,,etc., and still be a conservative Republican? How can he "really, really hate abortion" and still be pro choice? How can he be "helping Tec Cruz" by bringing up his Canadian birth over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again?

I like many things about Trump, too. Especially the way he sticks it to the media and the Democrat candidates. But, rest assured, he's just as sleazy as the rest of the politicians. How do you know what he REALLY believes when he speaks out of both sides of his mouth?

You should come to the Keys where women and fresh water are always scarce. You can get lots of great exercise down here by swimming. It’s probably the best exercise possible. And you can do it about 11 months of the year. Not today we have 40 knot winds and rain. But its still 70 degrees.
I started playing basketball with the Chinese guys next door. They kicked my ass every time but its great exercise.

from the link.:

He has praised Justice Clarence Thomas as “strong and consistent,” while calling Chief Justice John Roberts “disgraceful.” He recently criticized Justice Antonin Scalia for his comments opposing affirmative action during a Supreme Court hearing.

Two out of three ain't bad.

But Trump saying he likes his judge sister is NOT descriptive of who he'd nominate;

I read somewhere that Justice Alito worked for Trump's older sister Mary Ann in the US Attorney's office when he was just getting started and that as a judge in the US Court of Appeals she testified on behalf of Alito's nomination to the USSC.

Its an interesting connection.

That's very possible.

Like bray, Cruz has always been my number 2 pick realizing that there are no 100% candidates out there, never have been and never will be.

Bottom line it's hard to beat a candidate who has no political background,no major donors, self funds,is not owned by anyone else, and whose theme is:

To Make America Great Again.

Who wants to go up against a guy like that?

I love to swim.

I’m not that good at it but I dream of immersing myself in water and swimming all day.

Here I live right next to the ocean and, at times, me and Kaitlyn go for a swim....one of my top four favorite activities.

Well, I’ve voted all my life for various politicians who are almost all lawyers. And I’ve tried to vote for the ones who mostly stood for what I believe, that is, conservative/libertarian values.

Sometimes I’ve voted for a candidate/politician BECAUSE of the candidate/politician that they were running against, i.e., Dole versus Clinton, McCain versus Obama, Romney versus Obama...

And then again in the 2010, 2012 and 2014 Congressional elections.

I had so much hope for the Republicans when they won the Senate in 2014. Those hopes were DASHED.

I am no longer inclined to vote for a Washington lawyer politician. We need someone/someones totally new.

Maybe Trump would be just as bad, but maybe not. I’m willing to find out.

However, I’m not going to vote in the same old same old only to expect better results.

Insanity can be defined as beating your head against a wall repeatedly, only hoping it won’t hurt with each subsequent smack. I’m done doing that.
