I don’t hear that at all and I’m for Trump. It just sounds to me like Rush is trying to be even handed by throwing both camps a bone.

Anybody listening to this old bag? Wow! Did I miss something? What did Rush say that makes everyone think he’s supporting Cruz? I was out for awhile, maybe I missed it.

Typical. Anyone who doesn’t sing Trump’s praises 24/7 is deemed a traitor. Cult of personality. Same stuff we saw with Obama supporters. I think Rush keeps it pretty even between Trump and Cruz.
I do too. But if you're a Trumpster you only hear the negative things Rush says about Trump, never the positive comments.
I don’t get that criticism either. I’ll grant that Rush was a shameless RNC cheerleader while Dubya was in office but to my great surprise he reformed his ways. For one thing I never thought he’d recognize the great harm that mass third world immigration both legal and illegal is doing to the United States.
I am now and was at the time in California. My boss at the time had a daughter who worked at the WTC. She worked on floor 26, on one of the towers and survived. We had a very close view an could be empathetic to folks like you, Trump, and my ex-bosses daughter. Cruz awkwardly worded his criticism of Trump, which is unusual for him. Cruz should have been more careful, and he would not have gotten nailed on his remarks.
Rush was mildly critical of Trump and he argued that Cruz had a point with ‘New York Values’. I suspect that is what set her off.

Cruz was echoing something that Barry Goldwater said back in the 1964 race- that the country would be better off if NY and/or the Northeast was cut off and hauled out to sea.
Goldwater did it as a swipe at Northeastern liberalism but Cruz did it in a clumsy fashion that opened himself up to Trump’s powerful rejoinder that made it an insult to the good people of New York. You underestimate Trump’s rhetorical ability at your own peril.
Oh, ok. I did hear that but didn’t think much of it. Rush has never been a fan of NYC because he has really been given a hard time by the state’s IRS. And they are a miserable group of nasty bureaucrats.
I’m so glad your friend’s daughter survived. I have a friend who survived as well (horribly, his wife was in the other tower and she survived too!) and he’s not the same person he was. Cruz should have known that when you attack New Yorkers as corrupt or lacking in character, the New Yorker’s mind will always go back to 9/11. It’s only natural.

As far as color commentary, I’m somewhere between CH & RWI:
CH: “Neither Rush nor TGO can do that to Trump [or Cruz, for that matter (my editorial comment)]. Only he can do it to himself. Don’t kid yourself.”
RWI: “I’ll be happy when the primaries are over.
“Why can’t we all just get along?” Sigh.”
As far as commenters or callers hammering on Rush or Levin:
Rush is Rush; TGO is TGO; how many elections have they been through? They have the experience, the knowledge, the conservative creds, and they’ve earned their place and our respect. I will always want to know what they think.
