Never thought I’d see folks on FreeRepublic praising the values of NY. Which ones? Gun control? High taxes? Abortion? Transsexual rights? Soda control? Affirmative action? Sen Hillary? 80% for Obama?

Just what NY values are we all supposed to be fighting for?

I lived in Manhattan during 9/11.Trump is correct about the smell of death months. I can still remember that smell. Shame on Cruz.

Trump knocked it out of the park with the smell of death.

The rest of the time NY city just smells like urine.

But Cruz has all his eggs in the early primary basket.
He’s not thinking general. He’s willing to trade Iowa for a part of the race where he likely won’t be involved.

Obama is a divider. We do not need a Republican doing the same by bashing a state.

The ONLY REASON Fox News is pushing Cruz to take down Trump.

Hold it, are we listening to the same debate. The first two attacks were against Cruz. First the loan attack then the birther issue. Sounds like they went after Cruz and it backfired.

That was not my comment.I was pasting in question to which I was responding. My respone was: Fox is GOPe.

I thought the debate (which the GOPe added to the schedule to pull down trump momentum IMHO) would focus on BUSINESS as Fox Business is hosting. Instead, it is a bunch of “gotcha questions” and I am just fuming!!

I’m sort of cynical on this. Wouldn’t surprise me if Trump and Cruz have been talking and planning on the side.

I didn’t see anything off with Cruz’s comments about New York either. He could have pointed out he was talking about the CITY, and not the conservative upstaters. But I think most conservative viewers will realize he was talking about the media and political hub that is NYC.

Or perhaps I’ve become immune to such things having lived so long in Massachusetts. When I hear comments like Cruz made about this state, I don’t take it personally.

I heard that Trump had replied to the explanation the same way earlier today.

My view of NYers comes from being born there, having family there (visited quite often + cousin who worked in the Towers was not there that day), but I grew up and lived elsewhere.

The majority of NYers are liberal or NYC would not be the abortion capital of America. The smell of death that they experienced for months doesn’t compare to the smell of death that God and pre-born have experienced for 43 years.

He should have mentioned Antonin Scalia as well.

There was a terrible smell in the air after 9/11. It lasted for weeks. It’s nothing to joke about.

You insult liberal states in conservative circles. Not in a national arena like the debate.

Isn’t Hannity from New York?
And Mike Savage, he was born in the Bronx I believe, but he is NY. Even though he now lives in San Francisco. I love Savage, have met him a couple of times. A great nationalist-conservative.
A lot of Irish in NYC that are conservatives, also. Cops for example.

Because they had a gop Mayor..Rubio and Bush rallied them during his speech too. I understand what Cruz meant about NY values and he was referring to people like Blasio, Sharpton, Farrakhan and their silly agendas like going after big gulps and too much salt in restaurants. Blasio is a jerk. It is a big city but they sure tolerated the Occupy Wall Street protesters too and they littered the city with trash
