Perhaps Trump doesn’t really know what a president can and cannot do...sort of fits and explains a lot now that I think about it.

By showing it doesn't work...which has already been done. These schools are worried about stupid things like a kid with an aspirin bottle in her purse....or a kid who bit his cookie into a gun....

Time to think about redesigning schools.

Has he removed “Gun-Free” Zones from all of the Trump properties yet like he said he would in the debate a few months ago?

Typical rhetoric. Easy to say when he doesn’t believe any of it to begin with..

With that said, Trump often overstates things as a matter of principle to make his point. I would hope he would follow the law.

People who actually GET THINGS DONE laugh about "The Law" clownshow a lot.

The government regulators are feather-bedders.

You mean that I recognize that Trump is a buffoon?

He plays to the No-Info voter very well.

I’m sure he lives in your head and your heart.

Hey, Trump has a pen and a phone! Isn’t that how it is supposed to work?

In any new Republican administration, I would expect this existing piece of federal law to be repealed ASAP, to hell with the screams of libtards.

In its place should be enacted the “School Armed Defense and Protection Act” mandating that all teachers, school administrators and security personnel receive firearm training, permit concealed carry for all such personnel on school property notwithstanding any local legislation to the contrary, and in addition provide immunity from prosecution for any use of a firearm on school property in any case where there was a reasonable determination that such use was necessary to protect students, teachers or staff.

Well, bless your heart, e-s.

You still haven't figured out that destroying The Media is the only path to freedom. :)

And you were here on Free Republic for most of it.

Cruz, Trump - it doesn't matter unless The Media is gelded.

And Trump is the only one who has a gelding knife...

Yep, only Trump has the guts to eliminate a federal law on his first day with a simple executive order.

Just like he said he will impose a death penalty on a certain crime with one, a simple executive order..

President Trump versus constitution and he will always win.

Fortunately he agrees with us on EVERYTHING or we might be in trouble.

Time to think about redesigning schools. Cameras in the halls with one monitor at a desk.

Add halls that can be shut down via pocket doors, isolating the incident....and protecting the other students at the same time.

Start thinking outside the box.

The problem is....states rights....again and again and again.

Why is there such a Federal law in the first place??

Well, I think “gun-free” zones are stupid and an invitation to crime, but the President doesn’t get to just take over and reverse local and state laws.

You put your finger right on the problem when it comes to Trump. He has been the CEO and has total say in what goes on. A Republic is run differently and he doesn't get it. Problem is a lot of his followers don't get it either and would be sorely disappointed by what he could get accomplished as President.

We wont need rights like that if we get Trump elected,

That man will fix everything for us, but only if he gets elected.

Obama overstepping his constitutional authority is not the problem, its that we didnt have the RIGHT guy in there doing it, what we want.

The USSC shot that down in 1997, correctly deciding the federal government had no authority to legislate in that area.

LOLOL and I agree with you....

Also, Trump needs to go on T.V. and let the world know that he’s sending 50 men and women to Iraq....

And Trump needs to go on T.V. to tell the world he wants to do away with guns...

Really smart common sense this P.C.B.S. has made of people’s brains....
