I’m a simple man who doesn’t feel more strongly about the 2nd amendment that I do for any of the others, but when I try to keep things REEL SIMPLE this is what I come up with:
1. Bad people get guns.
2. Good people also get guns.
3. Bad people do bad things with guns.
4. Therefore, good people need to turn in their guns...!!! WTF? What am I missing here?
My son is a great kid and went to a good Christian school. He was aware of other kids that would obtain for you your drug of choice, usually marijuana, if you had the money.
Golly, that was illegal, but the black market thrived on that.
And now we think that gathering up guns is going to be as effective as banning marijuana and all the other illicit stuff? The black market in guns is going to wither away and we will live in peace? Name one place where that strategy is working.
