Ted Cruz says Bill Clinton not an issue in presidential race
Dallas Morning News ^ | 12/30/15 | Gromer Jeffries

Ted Cruz says he won't use former President Bill Clinton's political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former First Lady Hillary Clinton.

"I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo," he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco. "Hillary Clinton’s biggest liability is that her policies are a disaster."

New York businessman Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the Republican race for president, has used Twitter to black Bill Clinton as abusive to women.

"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong! Mr. Trump said Monday via Twitter.

Cruz says he won't engage in such attacks.

Instead, he outlined how he would contrast himself with Clinton, should he get the Republican nomination for president.

"Because of the Obama/Clinton economic policies, millions of Americans are hurting," he said. “We have the lowest percentage of Americans working since 1977."

He added that "the Obama/Clinton foreign policy is terrible because of the strengthening of Iran and the rise of the Islamic State.

"That is a record that is substantially indefensible," he said.

That will last until the first time she plays the vagina card on him.

Then what?

Her lust for power and money, and the destruction of all who endanger that pursuit, is the issue.

She has lied , stolen, committed perjury, and allowed people to die for that pursuit.

Debating her SoS experience is only one example of her perfidy, and the LIVs eyes will glaze over with any scholarly treatise of how it was a failure.

Ted sounded like Carly Fiorina, who said basically the same thing.

The American voter is not in the mood for the same old, same old. That is why Ted is number 2.

the GOP has been the Clintons’ best friends since 1992.

Time for that to end.

The Clintons mean to destroy anyone in their way.

Fire must be fought with fire.

2016 is for all the marbles.

Bill Clinton’s shelf life may have expired. He’s a wizened, dirty old man now, with a fresh set of atrocious incidents that came long after Monica Lewinsky. He’s fair game, as Trump put it.

Attacking Bill Clinton’s postpresidency conduct will carry no sexist baggage and will call into question his suitability to become America’s first “First Gentleman”.

If he campaigns openly for Hillary (”Vote for my wife!”) and bashes her critics (”Don’t you dare criticize my wife!!”), their old 1992 slogan “Buy one, get one free!” might just start to seem a little stale.

The Guest of Orgy Island is gonna have some ‘splainin’ to do, I betcha.

Trump thought everything was cool. Now he doesn’t. Can he have it both ways? If Hillary comes out and says she was wrong for blaming Bill’s victims, will she be absolved in your eyes?

My apologies, I wasn’t clear. I’m not sure the brash point man taking fire is a good.

I agree attacking Bill is just a distraction and side track. It moves the battle from ideas into the gutter. The gutter is Democrat home turf; there’s no good reason to lower oneself to their level. Besides, too much of the populace sees Bill as a lovable scoundrel. It may be sick and disgraceful, but it’s reality.

You think her behavior as sos is independent of ...

Ok. How many times in the past year have we heard about Bill and his perversions? Including leek sky stepping into the fray herself and charges re the weird guy with the island? Could people get a clue on her by now? One, they are above the law, so no charges will ever mean a thing. Two lewinsky is theirs to tell what to do. Ditto the main stream press

These are campaign tactics if you don’t think so, you must tell where Hilary’s accomplishments and plans are presented and covered more than this pig of a man

To assume that someone willing to take on Bill Clinton as part of this will stop there and not take on what she’s done at state is weird

We’ve been looking for someone to see what these two are about and get them out of our government since October 1992 at the precipice

Why do people cheer on taking tactics against them?

It is sickening the wimpiness does not cease

People don’t have a clue about Benghazi. They laughed when Jon Stewart joked about the death of four Americans. Sex, they understand. Clinton is also tied in with Jeffrey Epstein and Orgy Island - hardly 20 years ago. It is important to me that this Bill Cosby type does not get back into the White House to sully it.

“Ted Cruz says he won't use former President Bill Clinton's political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former First Lady Hillary Clinton.”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Cruz! Are you a complete IDIOT?????!!!!!!!

Bill Clinton is a man who **recently** flew on a private plane to an island kept young girls as sex slaves.

Oh Wow! Of course Cruz should make it an issue! They are relevant. If Hillary were President, Bill Clinton would live in the White House and be in contact ( even more than now) with the most sensitive information and most powerful leaders of the world.

I agree for the primary, but not the general. We will see all the zombies come out for Hillary as first woman. It will happen. Now she will not get that kind of love in the primary at all. Most ultra liberals want Bernie, but after she is nominated, they will honor the jerk.

He stays focused on the real issues, is a real Conservative and has real credibility.

Amen to that... and Rubio should be first to attest, when Cruz aims his fire, he aims true. I have no doubt he would destroy any dem that dares attack him.

Cruz: “The policies of Hillary Clinton would be disastrous for this country, and her lack of concern for the Constitution would herald the end of America as it was originally founded.” (Audience applauses in agreement.)

Trump: “She’s a b*tch who needs to be schlonged.” (Audience shouts its cheers, wildly waving posters and banners.)

Cruz makes the better President. Trump is the rousing candidate.

Cruz and Trump need to morph. I want more of one and less of the other, and visa versa.

I love all of these known and verifiable Trump supporters on this thread saying, “ wow, Cruz really lost me with this.” As if they would actually cease the trump rectal/cranial inversion....please.

Eh, read the headline

Eh, what's your point? The target is Hillary. If Bubba fires at Cruz, Cruz will respond accordingly... and as Rubio found out, devastatingly.
