The person who wrote that has no understanding of what is happening in conservative America. None whatsoever.

Exactly right. But then- it doesn't matter that she doesn't. It matters that we do.

I’m actually quite surprised we have been able to fight off amnesty since 2006 when they first started pushing for it.
I thought it would be the first thing Obama went for. It would have made the rest easier, as I and probably others would have disengaged politically altogether.

Trump supporters, and we should focus on his supporters, as Trump is not a politician but a grievance avatar, are at war with both the conservative movement and the Republican Party, trying to displace the first and overtake the second.”

Heh, heh. He lies.

This misses the big picture. The conservative and tea party are very much alive and well. It is balkanized, which is its strength. My impression is that fiscal conservatism dominates, along with small or responsible government, and raw nationalism. It is when you get to social or religious conservatism that the movement loses. This is why the Santorums fail, Trumps win. Tea Party loses when leading advocates were too social conservative. This is also why Cruz fails to gather new supporters. Few people want preachy, we want better government, smaller government, less taxes, respect for our rights. And we want 100% American, respect, honor, and promote American exceptionalism with no quarter for illegal aliens, undermining our culture, and losing sight of our values as Americans.

If the Rats win, then in 20 years people will use these articles to start a fire, cook, and keep warm in the winter ... and yes, some will use the articles to insulate their boots and assorted wearable rags ...

Agreed.

The following quote made me laugh: “..as Trump is not a politician but a grievance avatar...”

If that ain’t the pot calling the kettle black, I don’t know what would be.

Grievances are what the democrats and the media run on.

What a load of crap.

What is shocking them the most is that if you sum up the total of polls for their preferred candidates, it doesn’t break 30% (I don’t think).

The GOPe is being thoroughly repudiated by its base.

Cantor, Gone.

Boehner, Gone.

Trump, Winning.

Cruz, Next in Line.

Bush, Gone.

Rubio, Going, going, ....

Their world is crashing in on them.

May they live in dire fear all year.

I agree, but this article is incoherent. I do believe that Trump will, if elected, meant he collapse of conservatism, but for different reasons. If conservatives nominate a liberal conman despite frequent warnings that he’s insincere, it will forfeit any claim to philosophical legitimacy.

Whistling past the graveyard, eh, libs? Does it occur to you that this may actually signal a shift from the tepid neo-conservatism of George Bush and John McCain to a more rock-ribbed Goldwater/Reagan conservatism? One that actually deserves the name?

And considering the support Trump is getting (and the support another neo-con -- Jeb Bush -- is NOT getting), may this instead presage the demise of the liberal moonbat Left, whose policies are clearly being rejected not just by conservatives but by America as a whole?

“when the TEA party fizzled”???

I think the TEA party has changed the political landscape, and continues to do so.

Amnesty isn’t a legacy issue. Proving that you can take over health care when everyone from HST to Hillary couldn’t, that is a legacy issue. Obama was willing to take everything down to get his name on health care, and he did.

I love him. and he is my first choice.

but the TPP, H1B, and legal status for aliens leaves me with no responses from those who don’t like him. and the iran treaty vote.

except that no one is perfect. and trump has said dozens of things that go against what he says now.

I like trump. he’s second. but he gets a lot more slack here than Ted. who is a true constitutional scholar.

that gay marriage not being top 3 nonsense, only new SC appointments can change that. he would make the right choices.

that doesn’t put it in the top three. waiting for someone to retire or die, lol.

The only problem has always been that Republican GOPe call themselves, and are called by democrats, “conservatives”. They are not and never have been.

There is no collapse. The only collapse is the farce that is the GOP. They are fini, over. At least to voters they are.

I think I will call them GOPd now.

This election will decide if the American citizen gets to keep our country.

You are operating under the delusion that a velvet MarxislamoFascist coup never happened and that we now have rulers instead of representatives.

We saw our last 'honest' national election in 2008.

We already lost the country.

Most simply do not realize it yet.

When you think about it, I can’t imagine a peaceful transfer of power from the elitists/NWO communists to the people in 2016.

Something is going to transpire before that happens.
