Amen Bro!

The Rats said the same thing when the washed-up actor Ronnie Raygun was nominated.

How did that turn out?

> "From the 1930s through the 1960s, liberalism was the center of gravity in American politics"

And since the 1930s liberalism has been the sole ideology of our Ferral Government™

FreeRepublic is the most conservative forum I know yet so many Freepers are willing to turn a blind eye to Donald Trump’s long documented history of disdain for conservative ideals.

Even our much revered oracle Jim Robinson has remained largely silent on Trump’s numerous historical liberal tendencies.

This is most surprising considering we have one if not THE most conservative candidate we’ve had available since Reagan.

Granted, Ted Cruz is not perfect and he’s made a few decisions I wish he hadn’t. That being said, he is by any and all measure so vastly superior to any other candidate running, the decision for any rational conservative should be academic.

Trumps raucous carnival barker style has many so snak-fascinated they can’t see the man for who he was and is.

There’s a lot of brain power on this forum. I only hope they wake up and use it before it’s too late.

At least you get what’s going on and where we find ourselves and what it is probably our near-future.

Most however, refuse to even let their minds comprehend this fact, even though the evidence is being shoved in their face on a daily basis.

The Country and most Conservatives have a fatal case of Normalcy Bias, which the enemy that now rules us is exploiting to great effect and advantage.

By the time most wake up and realize where we have arrived - they will be like the Jews of 30’s Europe - staring into a trench they walked themselves to while machine guns are pointed at their backs.

May they live in dire fear all year.

Then, may their fears and nightmares become a devastating unending reality for 8 years at a minimum.

The 2008 election was the farthest thing from honest.

It may be too late to work within the system, I hope not because we both know what comes next.

Ted Cruz is the only candidate who truly believes in limited government, Federalism and the primacy of the Constitution. No one else.

Keep fighting the good fight. Watching the Trumpies shoot the messenger is its usual fun, but they can't deny their guy is nobody's Constitutional conservative.

considering the support Trump is getting (and the support another neo-con -- Jeb Bush -- is NOT getting), may this instead presage the demise of the liberal moonbat Left, whose policies are clearly being rejected not just by conservatives but by America as a whole?

Their private polls and focus groups are showing them in spades what you posted. It is scaring the living fecal matter out of them,

Trumps raucous carnival barker style has many so snak-fascinated they can’t see the man for who he was and is.

Irrelevant.

Trump's rhetoric sounds like someone who will fight. That's what this people know they want - a plain speaking firebrand who can care less what the Marxists and Enablers have to rant about, who will call them out and bash them in the face with truth and says what most Joe Sixpacks think.

Every other person running (including Cruz) sounds like a professional politician, and Joe Sixpack is waking up to the fact that all politicians have contributed and enabled the collapse and fundamental transformation of the country.

To them, Trump is a moniker for "EFF THEM ALL" - and thus his popularity.

Makes no difference in the long run because the Ruling Class has made it perfectly clear and have signaled that Trump and Cruz WILL NOT be the nominee - and if by some miracle they are - they will make sure Hildabeast is crowned Queen.

The country's federal governance has been lost and overthrown by corrupt tyrants. You cannot vote tyrants out of power.

Neither can you stop tyrants via civil means, or use the institutions they have corrupted for themselves to rectify despotism.

You can actually feel the SGTHTF, but I am not sure what the trigger of it will be. But probably in 2016.

I try to pretend as normal, but I know it is not. My niece and her husband talk about it a lot. Probably there are many that sense it, but don’t want to think about it or consider it much. Hoping it won’t happen and that we can turn this hot mess around.

For some, it is going to be a shock of epic nature.

but the TPP, H1B, and legal status for aliens leaves me with no responses from those who don’t like him. and the iran treaty vote.

************
There are suitable answers- but his antagonists aren’t interested in answers— they want the issue.

TPP, he’s against it; always was.

HIB visa represent a doctrinaire conservative position, properly administered, they help the economy (though now Sessions and Cruz have legislation curbing them);

legal status (assume you mean the amendment)Washington Post wrote: “Schumer confirmed Cruz’s bill was viewed as a poison pill: ‘This was an attempt to kill the bill, and there was no doubt at the time that Senator Cruz knew it would do exactly that.’”

Corker Bill- There was no alternative. Obama intended to bypass Congress completely (as he did anyway when he went to the UN)- The agreement at least allowed for public debate- but the GOP caved anyway.

These aren’t legitimate, material criticisms— they merely allow the Trump folks so inclined to trash Cruz—

But, as one can see with Rubio’s similar effort to paint Cruz as an “inconsistent conservative” or Huck and Rick on gay marriage— it hasn’t worked.

People have formed a view of Cruz— they know he’s not weak on marriage, Iran or immigration-— in fact, they see those issues as strong suits.

It may be too late to work within the system, I hope not because we both know what comes next.

You and I know deep down in ourselves that it is too late.

It's right in our face - but no one wants to look at the dragon and call it what it is, because they fear being flamed and eaten first. So they delude themselves to avoid their duty.

Few to none are brave or honest enough to admit it, so any ability to stop what has already been sown for us is moot.

Subjugation or extermination looks to be our posterity's future.

20 years from now, people will look back on articles like this and realize how pathetically insular the chattering apparatchiks were.

It is happening each day and more of us are pointing out how pathetic the Beltway Pundits and their low IQ supporters are.

Trump is the weekly headline news for ABCNNBCBS and Faux whatever. They have to cover and repeat what he says, and it saps/minimizes whatever they want to tell us about their B squad politicians. Each day ABCNNBCBS, other left wing mediots and the beltway pundiots become less relevance in America's presidential selection.

Bears repeating.
