SEATTLE - The general manager at a restaurant at Seattle's University Village is apologizing to a mother after one of its employees told a breastfeeding mother to cover up.

"There shouldn't be a stigma about breastfeeding," mother Lauren Hernandez said.

Hernandez was having lunch at Piatti Sunday afternoon.

She was with her 9-month-old son, Bob, who started getting fussy.

"While I was nursing him, the hostess came up to me and told me to cover up because people had complained," Hernandez said. "And I told her 'I think it's illegal for you to tell me to cover up' and she said 'No, we just had training on it.'"

If it is a private establishment they have the right to refuse service or ask anyone they want to leave.

Mom is loving it. It was what she hoped for...just let someone complain.

As Ron White said, “Once you have seen one breast, you want to see them all.”

You are mostly correct... Private property is and should be sacred, but the laws governing private property are a nightmare joke.

Who complains about this? Gay men who are afraid of seeing breasts?

Modesty is a Virtue.

We are not dogs-—and there is a reason for humans wearing clothes in a “civil” society-—as “respect” for the dignity of male and female natures. Romance and Mystery makes life meaningful and adds beauty and “fun” to life——which Marxists want removed....to reduce us all to just copulating animals-—group orgies/polygamy(islam)/sodomy—to make intimacy non-existent-—to destroy individualism and unique identity-—to make human acts meaningless-—reduced to irrational, meaningless doggy acts (for the children).

Intimacy between parent and child or man and woman is NOT a “group” thing EVER— which destroys the morality and meaning of the act and destroys civility and the ideals of individualism for “group think” (dehumanization).

Yeah, and why don’t you change the diapers on the restaurant table? you seem to feel entitled to do whatever your fat ugly-a$$ mind tells you to do.

You don't HAVE to see. Once you've determined what's going on...Don't look.

Of course an old grandpa dude like JimRed is more likely to smile a little at a nursing mom than check out the goods...

Pure exhibitionism. Most people look better clothed than not (go to the beach to verify this) and that cow certainly wouldn't draw a second look unless her hair was on fire.

On another note quite some years ago in "Everybody's Restaurant" near the Emory campus (ultra high liberal concentration) I saw a smug "mom" change a #2 diaper right on the restaurant table. She was looking all around to see how many people noticed her performance. Put me off my feed, and I never went back to the restaurant because no one said anything to her. This is the same sort of thing. "Look at me! I dropped out a kid. Look at me!"

I’m all for breastfeeding. But I’m also all for modesty.

Currently pregnant and planning to breastfeed my second child. No way I’ll be letting my girls hang out for all to see, though. That’s just plain wrong on so many levels, not to mention disrespectful of my husband. Breastfeeding can be done privately and discreetly. These libtard bimbos are just looking for a fight.

Absolutely well stated!

I doubt the Virgin Mary let her boobs flop around while nursing Our Lord. Modesty is a virtue, just like you said.

There is breastfeeding your baby, and then there is public nudity on purpose. There is a difference. My bet is this “mother” had her entire breast (and possibly both breasts) exposed during the feeding process and that caused the objection.

I was presented with such a scene a while back and resolved it well to my satisfaction. I and the others at our table broke out laughing and pointing. The woman sought privacy.
