Beretta USA says Maryland's tough new gun laws are the reason it's moving its factory to gun-friendly Tennessee.
The American subsidiary of the 500-year-old Italian company has had a factory in Accokeek, Maryland since the 1970s. The company has manufactured the M9, the U.S. Army's standard-issue sidearm, since 1987 at that factory, which is about 20 miles south of Washington, D.C.

The other reason they’ve been around for so long is they make great guns. My Beretta 96 was great until he TBA.
Agree. Oak Ridge, near our town, has some prime property perfect for this. The Toronto company, CVmR, was supposed to move here, but backed out last month.

TN has no State Income Tax, however, they do still tax dividend/interest income?

Nope. Get a map. Accokeek is almost directly south from center city DC at about 17 miles. Popes Creek is around 30 miles south.
Yeah but it's got a very high sales tax, So if you spend all your money within the state your pretty much in the same boat as states with income taxes. It's one of those catch 22 things.
But let me also say Tennessee is doing pretty good with paying it's bills with the revenue from those sales taxes.

Last I looked, Maryland was south of the Mason Dixon line.

This is slightly off-topic,but it also did much harm to boys IMHO,
Years ago boys could aspire to become what were then masculine jobs,such as policeman,fireman,soldier,utilty lineman, and the like. There no jobs like that anymore.
I grew up and raised my kids before the “movement” took hold,thank heaven,and I had a very nice life.
