Donald Trump has earned headlines â and, in some circles, ire â for incendiary comments throughout his presidential campaign. Recently, Trump called for a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. and a database to keep track of them â comments that other candidates in the GOP have denounced as intolerant and wrongheaded.
But some media commentators and news organizations have taken it a step further, stating that the man himself is racist and that his policies are fueled by racism.
Trump responded to these statements on CNN earlier this week, when interviewed by Don Lemon: "I am the least racist person that you have ever met. I am the least racist person," Trump said at the time.
Within media organizations, the decision of how to cover Trump has prompted significant discussion and debate â and, ultimately, several different conclusions.
To offer a window into these conversations, NPR's Michel Martin spoke with editors and decision-makers from legacy institutions and digital media: Susan Glasser of POLITICO, Ryan Grim of The Huffington Post and NPR's own news chief, Michael Oreskes.
The courtesans of the King speak to the peasantry...
Wow! Islam is a race! Who knew? The again their ally in WWII , the Nazi’s , thought they were a master race as well.
Honestly?
The answer is honestly.
But that is asking far too much and something with which they have almost no experience or expertise.
The way the MSM vetted Obama?
Indendiary comments . . .

What do ISIS and Kobe Bryant not have in common?
But hey lets get all worked up over Trump
With Excellence and Adoring Aplomb....
Government run media is an abomination in a free republic.
There never should have been an NPR or “public” television.
They should be immediately defunded.
It will take decades to undo their relentless advocacy of all things leftist.
I listened to some NPR doofi this aft while captive in the car essess why Trump is a demogogue while ignoring the obvious comparison to Hussein where according to their criteria, Hussein is a Demogogue in Spades.
I only occasionally buy our local (UAW infested) central IN Sunday rag because they have the NYTs crossword and another large, slightly easier puzzle.
They dedicated their entire editorial page today with screeches of outrage over Trumps comments. Even felt a need to post an editorial by Keith Ellison (Muslim-MN) where local citizens usually comment.
Yesterday was 5 anti-Trump cartoons.
I remember well their station identification containing:
“Public Radio International”
Yep, far far far Left.
Headshake
Another public funding target. Cannot reform the beast, so kill it by eliminating the public funding.
The Leftist head will explode, but like Planned Parenthood, It is TIME to DownSize DC and eliminate all such leach public funding.
Just reading between the lines.
NPR is not needed to ask this question. In fact, NPR is not needed period.
A MORATORIUM on rushing thousands of Muslims into this
country is a wise thought. What reason would Obama have
for being in such an all-fired hurry to rush them in?
- Photos I’ve seen of this horde of “Muslim immigrants”
for the most part show that the majority of them are MEN,
young, military age “immigrants” with just a few “women
and children” sprinkled into the mix. I mean, it is photo
after photo, after photo of young Muslim MEN; some with
NO WOMEN AND CHILDREN as Obama claimed.
So, Trump’s MORATORIUM on Muslim immigration into the U.S.
seems wise.
They could start by being honest. Report facts rather than spins.
How ..????
Being honest would be a great start.
You don’t have to like him; you don’t have to vote for him; but just reporting on him with honesty would be a change.
The media should cover Trump FACTUALLY. Now THAT would be different.
At last they have quit stupidly repeating that what Mr. Trump proposed is unconstitutional.
Or have they?
