Yesterday we had a Des Moines Register poll, that Trump doubted because they hate him, that showed Ted Cruz is pummeling him in Iowa. Today we have another faked poll from Faux News that hates Trump because they’re showing the same thing.
New @FoxNews Iowa poll: Among likely caucus-goers @tedcruz now stands at 28% @realDonaldTrump at 26% #FNS pic.twitter.com/gtIJ85Bm9z — FoxNewsSunday (@FoxNewsSunday) December 13, 2015 |
More from Faux News:
Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are the top two candidates Iowa Republican caucus-goers say are the most qualified to handle the top two issues facing the country — the economy and national security.
That gives them front-runner status in a new Fox News poll of Iowa likely caucus-goers.
The poll, released Sunday, also finds Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders by double-digits among Democrats in the Hawkeye State.
Cruz garners 28 percent support and Trump 26 percent among GOP likely caucus-goers. Together they command more than half of the total support. Rubio comes in third with 13 percent. Carson, the Iowa front-runner in October, is fourth with 10 percent. Those four compose the clear top tier.
Five percent back Jeb Bush and Rand Paul. All other candidates come in at two percent or less.
When the results are narrowed to just those GOP caucus-goers who say they will "definitely" attend, Cruz's advantage over Trump increases: 32 percent vs. 25 percent. Trump has a 3-point edge over Cruz among those who say they will "probably" attend.

And also….
GOP caucus-goers who identify as "very" conservative help propel Cruz in Iowa, as 4 in 10 back him (42 percent). Trump comes in second with 23 percent and Carson gets 14 percent among this group.
White evangelical Christians are a significant voting bloc in Iowa and they also put Cruz on top, although by a narrower margin. He gets 31 percent compared to 24 percent for Trump. Another 14 percent go for Rubio and 10 percent Carson.
Caucus-goers with a college degree prefer Cruz by 5 points (26 vs. 21 percent), while those without a degree go for Trump by 3 points (32 vs. 29 percent).
Cruz gets his highest support — 48 percent — from those who are part of the Tea Party movement — that's double Trump's 24 percent.
Meanwhile, Cruz has more room than Trump to grow his support in Iowa. Three in 10 caucus-goers say they could "never" support Trump (30 percent), while just 6 percent say the same about Cruz. Nearly a quarter (23 percent) says they couldn't back Bush, and roughly one in 10 couldn't back Christie, Kasich, Paul and Graham.
Dang. The poll is from randomly drawn 807 Iowa caucus-goers, but they clearly cherry picked all the total losers.
"@JPMORGAN2016: @realDonaldTrump @Peggynoonannyc TRUMP IS WINNING BY SO MUCH MORE, IT'S NEAR 60% NATIONALLY. THEY ARE ALL BIASED POLLS!!!!" — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 13, 2015 |
Damn straight!!!
Actually the Register poll is generally considered the gold standard of state polling but this does reinforce their findings.
Right, because no one ever gets any money that has crossed dirty palms.
Ted is the most conservative candidate we have seen since Reagan
Cruz lied about his vote for TPA, amnesty, h1bvisas & deportation!
Many lobbyists along with the NRCC (headed by Greg Walden) & NRSC, filled with candidates like Cruz, Paul, Graham, Rubio are LYING to Trump supporters in emails selling them bogus Trump gear which finances THEIR Rino candidates. When will just ONE of these Senators expose their scam against Trump? They have taken millions of $ from candidates...do not be fooled.

“Woodrow Wilson with a toupee”
LOL! You get the Mark Twain award of the day LOL!
We’ve got a brother in law (older — age 82) who’s always pronounce it “Ioway”....
Shhhh....don’t add facts to the formula :)
I was so fired up about Trump last week. The muslim ban would have been revolutionary. Still might be. But researching here this weekend, three disturbing things:
1. Trump supports Ethanol.
[Funny thing that Cruz is doing so well when he opposes tyrannical ethanol subsidies and mandates. It would be awsome if Cruz wins the straw poll.]
2. Trump called Cruz ‘kinda manaical’.
Unless there really is something wrong with Cruz [which I seriously doubt], then Trump is attempting to destroy an amazing patriot.
3. Trump has started up a controversy that paints Justice Scalia as a racist! If Scalia is forced to resign in disgrace, the supreme court turns into an Obama-banana-court:
Trump hits Scalia over comments on black students

“Scalia was essentially paraphrasing Thomas Sowell’s well-researched and apt argument.” â 9YearLurker
If Cruz can defend Scalia in a timely manner, a HUGE feather in his cap. And sure, talk radio might defend Scalia sufficiently, but there is a risk of a mindless stampede overwhelming him or even a stroke or heart attack for crying out loud.
Oops..meant to insert that he was born and raised there....
First it was Bush
then it was Fiorina
then it was Carson
then is was Rubio
Now it is Cruz
Wonder whom it will be after Cruz?
Ignorance is bliss.
Selzer’s ‘secret sauce’ is probably a list of past GOP caucus-goers.
I’ve probably talked to hundreds of previous GOP caucus-goers in the last few months and my impression matches her trends.
The problem with declaring such impressions conclusive is that there are always wild cards. Huckabee and Santorum brought in new attendees. (Huckabee supporters have proven to be more savvy than Santorum supporters).
Trump might bring in new attendees en masse, or his crowds may be mostly interested in seeing a celebrity slap down the powers that be and won’t understand their own potential role.
She says that see does take into account new caucus participants, particularly when you have some novel candidate like Trump in the race. We’ll have to wait to see if she got it right.
Give it the due it desreves
‘Taking into account’ means ‘wild guess’.
It's like more accurate than not. There are others showing similar results.
But, what is amazing is that there are people who actually think Iowa is important to the nomination.
Des Moines Register had Carson winning by a mile a few weeks ago.
I’m not too sure I trust the DMR or any polls at this point. Too many of them are ‘commissioned’ by agenda-driven entities who pay for desired results.
Next month, actual voting starts. Then, we can see how accurate some of the polls are.
All polling do this, the difference is that some of them know what they are doing. What we are seeing these days is that the old methods are no longer working.
‘Yeb is near 0%. ‘
Actually, with a 6.5% margin of error, he could be in the negatives...
