My memory is that there was celebration in Brooklyn in the middle-eastern section. I didn’t make up that memory.
I was on FR that day. There was outrage from FReepers who were reporting the celebrations. It happened.

According to Trump they showed it once, why not again?
It was on TV. It was covered by every local tv station and carried in many places around the country. But only for a day or two. It happened. There weren't thousands and thousands but there were a whole lot in Patterson...I'm from Jersey and I was told at the time by a very good friend who still has the misfortune to live there, that Patterson, Newark and Jersey City were like another planet. He was astounded that people were actually celebrating and cheering while the rest of the country was mourning and in shock.
I don't care how much CAIR and the left, The GOPe and the media deny that it happened. They are all 100% full of shit.
I know that this happened and I was astounded that when Donald Trump made that statement he was met with so much opposition.

There were not thousands gathered together, that was a mis-statement.
But I also remember the reporting of people celebrating the downing of the twin towers.

And the partisans complaining about him now, are just whining for political purposes, to try to bring him down a peg or two because they want his supporters.

The Donald had the little schmo Chuck Todd worked up into a tizzy yesterday on MTP. It’s hilarious just how easy it is for Trump, the master to expose the media bias and hypocrisy.
It WAS in NJ, among other places. I watched the smoke from the WTC blowing out to sea from my apartment balcony in NJ on 9/11. Someone want to call me a liar? Go ahead. I know what I saw and heard that day, every bit of it, and I will never forget it. No amount of soviet-style revisionist history by the media is going to tell me otherwise.
Muslims loyalty is to the Qu'ran and infidels are the enemy of the Qu'ran. America is an enemy of the Qu'ran. They will celebrate whenever damage is done to any enemy.

At one point during the day the media started calling the rooftop celebrators in NJ Israelis, until it was confirmed they were Israeli MUSLIMS! Every local channel in the NY area was running non stop with these stories.
At a later date our local rag of a newspaper did a Sunday spread interviewing middle class muslim HS students (Middletown Record—archives paywalled). It was intended as a puff piece but the lib reporter was shocked at the level of support the kids gave the terrorists.
It was all here on FR. What has happened to people’s memories???
Because this is the new, transformed America. There was nationwide outrage in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, even among the media. Some outlets showed video, others talked about the celebrations within Muslim communities. Video of Muslims celebrating 9/11 doesn’t fit the modern narrative and conflicts with what our undocumented president wants the media to portray.
Suppose there’s a group of Boston natives living in New York City. Suppose the Red Sox beat the Yankees in New York. Are the Sox fans going to cheer and have parties?
Same with the towelheads. Their true allegiance is with the jihadis, not with Americans. Even if no one saw them celebrating, they did.
Time maybe. Some of the older FReepers that were here that day are gone. I lost TV when the 2nd plane hit so I spent days on FR. It was my only news source. I remember FReeper anger at the celebrations.
That’s why we have this thing called “television.” It’s powered by that new-fangled stuff called “eee-lectricity.”
