Lawyer For Displaced Disney Workers: 1,200 American Workers Training Their Foreign Replacements
Breitbart ^ | 26 Nov 2015 | Michelle Fields

Posted on 11/29/2015 8:44:34 AM PST by ConservingFreedom

Sara Blackwell, the Florida attorney representing the former Disney workers that were replaced by foreign workers told Breitbart News Daily that there are 1,200 Americans in New York who will suffer the same fate as the Disney workers.

"Right there in New York, 1,200 Americans are training their replacements" Blackwell said. Adding that it's also, "happening at AT&T right now." [...]

This week, she filed a complaint with the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on behalf of the former workers alleging that they are victims of national origin discrimination.

"I think that it's an immigration reform issue, but more than that it's a discrimination issue, it's an American issue," Blackwell told Breitbart News Daily host Steve K. Bannon.

Blackwell also praised Breitbart News for being the only news outlet that has been writing about the issue of H-1B visas and the effect it's having on American workers.

"I don't know why, the conservatives, the tea party, I don't know why they are the only ones listening and talking about it. I had five or six different news channels calling, and news reporters calling, to write about the Disney issue. But only Breitbart would put in the actual issues. Why aren't the liberals talking about how hundreds of thousands of Americans are losing their jobs?"

Blackwell discussed the problem of H-1B visas with Breitbart News Daily in early November, telling host Steve K. Bannon:

[...] there are qualified Americans because they're being fired, but guess what, if this keeps going there aren't going to be any qualified Americans because we're training all our knowledge — sending it overseas and we're training all the H1B workers here and we're not giving Americans the opportunity to make a decent wage or have a job so America has no future in technology, at this point.

H-1B ping. Let me know if you're not on the list and want to be added (or are and want to be removed).

This is representative of a huge problem in America today.

We need to protect American jobs.

Nobody is. GOP. Democrat. Everyone is for globalization, which is sending American jobs elsewhere.

It has been done, and increasing, now for over one entire generation.

Trump is the only one anywhere, for bringing jobs back to America.

He is the only one.

There are no perfect candidates in this race: last time around Trump called self-deportation "maniacal", and after feeling the heat Cruz has recently seen the light and come out in support of American jobs for Americans.

“I don’t know why, the conservatives, the tea party, I don’t know why they are the only ones listening and talking about it.”

Because we’re the only ones who actually care about people.

I’d quit first.

Good move if you can afford it - in these situations severance pay is often contingent on training one's replacement ... and keeping quiet about it.

Do you perhaps have a link for that claim?

Thanks.

It seems to this poster, that Cruz just isn’t strong on supporting American jobs.

I just haven’t seen it. I support Cruz on other issues, but where is he on American employment?

Trump is the only one for American jobs. Trump is strongly for American jobs.

The only one.

Exactly correct on all points.

We fight them by electing Trump...

Hmm, ‘national origin discrimination’. Sounds like a great theme for Trump to use:
‘Obama, Bush, Hillary all want to discriminate against African-Americans, they want the jobs to go to illegals from other countries instead of African-Americans citizens... That’s national origin discrimination.’

Re: I’d quite first.

Unfortunately the job market is so bad and has been for a L O N G time that those with families are in between a rock and a hard place.

Do you perhaps have a link for that claim?

'Romney's solution of "self deportation" for illegal aliens made no sense and suggested that Republicans do not care about Hispanics in general, Trump says [in an interview with Newsmax].

'"He had a crazy policy of self deportation which was maniacal," Trump says.' - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3310076/posts

There is work if you look. I’m in between jobs right now. One cna temp, if need be.

I would not do this, and I’d let the world know about it.

Thanks, but sorry. I was referring to this part of your post:

“, and after feeling the heat Cruz has recently seen the light and come out in support of American jobs for Americans. “

Do you have any links which support this claim please?

Thank you.

I'd quit first.

As C.F. mentioned, that would mean a loss of severance pay and (probably) unemployment benefits. Tough to deal with if you're supporting a family.

A better move would be to train your replacements with less than full enthusiasm. When you do that, critical manuals get misplaced, and key procedural steps are not mentioned. After all, nobody's perfect. And that's especially true of trainers under stress.

“last time around Trump called self-deportation “maniacal”

That’s because Trump is for mandatory deportation. He doesn’t necessarily want to wait for them to self deport. He’s going to push it along. Its call enforcing the immigration laws.

Re:There are no perfect candidates in this race: last time around Trump called self-deportation “maniacal”, and after feeling the heat Cruz has recently seen the light and come out in support of American jobs for Americans.

Cruz has been promoting more H-1B’s throughout his career. Suddenly he has had a revelation that Americans are being forced to train their replacements or forgo severance?

H-1B’s have been used to replace American workers who were forced to train them as a condition of getting severance since at least the mid 1990’s.

By 2001 there was negative job growth for American STEM workers. More H-1B’s were imported than new STEM jobs created.

Cruz has very skillfully used language to disguise the fact that after the very temporary hold during which there will be a dog and pony show hearing, he was all for continuing importing the same number of H-1B’s unless some nebulous criteria are met.

Jobs for Americans is why I support Trump! Li have a daughter who just finished a grueling Certification program which qualifies her tobworkbin a lab. She was top graduate in her class and so far she has not gotten one offer. Her peers who barely made it but are all foreign are getting hired.

I am sure many in the STEM fields are suffering the same fate! This crap is keeping salaries down and making it harder for American kids. Cruz’ support for more H1-Bs is a deal breaker for me!

GO Trump!
