Cruz called for a 180 day halt and an investigation on Disney and a few specific cases of H-1B abuse. He does not get it, it will be business as usual with some wrist slapping.
The H-1B visa program needs to die or the quotas dialed back to almost zero. This he does not get.

", and after feeling the heat Cruz has recently seen the light and come out in support of American jobs for Americans."Do you have any links which support this claim please?

last time around Trump called self-deportation "maniacal"That's because Trump is for mandatory deportation. He doesn't necessarily want to wait for them to self deport.
That's not what he said at the time: '"He had a crazy policy of self deportation which was maniacal," Trump says. "It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote," Trump notes. "He lost the Asian vote. He lost everybody who is inspired to come into this country."' - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3310076/posts

I had another FReeper with a quote, which partly substantiates what you’re saying in another thread yesterday.
Here is the post:

While Cruz is nowhere are strong on American jobs as is Donald Trump, it appears he is supporting American jobs at least in part.
Trump is my choice though.
Did just want to say, it appears Cruz is at least partly on the same page.

Of course what Trump was saying is that if youâre going to run on an Anti-Illegal Immigrant platform, it is a good idea to SOUND CREDIBLE when proposing it.No, that's not what he was saying: '"He had a crazy policy of self deportation which was maniacal," Trump says. "It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote," Trump notes. "He lost the Asian vote. The H-1B visa program needs to die or the quotas dialed back to almost zero. This he does not get. Elites sell this program to intellectuals like Cruz by telling them they're only bringing in the 'best of the best'... a blatant lie. Liberal elites are bringing in cheap labor... period.

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and Senator Cruz are presently collaborating together on legislation to reform the H-1B program. I'm curious, do you trust the judgment of Jeff Sessions to do the right thing on this issue?
I guess that depends upon how you define the right thing.
While Sessions is extremely knowledgable, very pro American workers, and considered the 'gold standard' on immigration, he is a politician and might vote for a bill that is sub optimal but moves immigration in the correct direction.

Trump is not Romney. He has a lot of latino and black support actually. They watch The Apprentice. They like The Donald. He’s going to get a lot of their votes.

The important question to me is whether he should get conservatives' votes; his left-of-Romney stance of a few years ago casts some doubt.

I think Donald Trump has admitted to the fact that as a businessman living in the Democratic Socialist state of NY he pretty much had to deal with and get along with Democrats to do business. As a former business owner myself I can relate. Somebody once said something to me about how could I stand that client and my response was “I do business with the Devil everyday”.
So Trump is not the most conservative candidate in the race but he is pushing 95% of my agenda and he can win a general election because he does attract the moderates.
Is Trump going to get up on a soapbox and preach agains’t abortion and gay marriage? No. He says he’s opposed to it and that’s the best you are going to get out of him about it. But if you want real change on the border and get the economy kickstarted so you can put food on the table he’s your Huckleberry.
