Passports Required For Domestic Travel In 2016, But IRS Can Revoke Passports For Taxes

Think you only need a passport to board an international flight? In 2016, some fliers better have one to fly domestic, which means they had better be paying their taxes. It now looks as though your passport could be cancelled if you owe the IRS. The Real ID Act created a national standard for state-issued IDs. It hits air travel in 2016. Some states initially refused to comply, fearing that the feds would make a national database of citizens. Others cited high administrative costs and a 50% increase in fees for drivers. Most states are OK, but millions in Louisiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire and New York may have to start using a passport to fly domestically.

Those states skipped the stricter standards for state-issued IDs. As a result, the TSA could insist on passports rather than driver’s licenses to board flights. The TSA will accept $55 passport cards and $135 passport books as valid identification. But some advice says that people in Minnesota should get passports by January 2016 to fly domestically. New York has been granted a waiver, so any driver’s license should still work. Louisiana has a waiver until Oct. 10, 2016, meaning that existing driver’s licenses work there too. Ditto for New Hampshire which has a waiver until June 1, 2016.

What will happen to the poor who can't get an ID to vote? Will they not be allowed to travel now?

“Also, this act was osrtky in response to 9/11.”

All that resulted from 9/11 did nothing to enhance our security. I’m talking those ID cards, and in particular the Department Of Fatherland Security. I could see right through the DHS as a good tool of the left when they got in power.

I never believed the conspiracy theories that the twin towers was a staged event to get us to cave in on freedom in favor of security. But the further we progress into time, just to see all that is happening worldwide and in our own country, it sure makes those conspiracy theories plausible.

"So tell us all, just who's 'controlling' Donald Trump?"

Why did you bring up Donald Trump in particular, and who is "us all?"

Because Donald Trump is the only one who isn’t an “organ grinder’s monkey” for those with money, and “us all” refers to all of us on FR!

HERE WE GO!
A modern tyrant no longer needs to post burly machinegun toting men on street corners. He controls a population with REGULATIONS and PAPER – and now, thanks to the NSA — PERSONAL INFORMATION!!

Want to work? Need a WORK PERMIT!

Want a place to live? Need a RESIDENCY PERMIT!

Want to travel? (Only on PUBLIC TRANSIT, of course, After the EPA MANDATED E15 ethanol gasoline destroys your engine.) Need a TRAVEL PERMIT or INTERNAL PASSPORT!

Want to eat? Need that FOOD RATION BOOK!

And draconian penalties await those who fail to obey the regulations or help others do so. That’s when the burly armed men appear. And they will just be “following orders.” Now where have we heard THAT phrase before??

“That could NEVER HAPPEN HERE,” say you?

That’s what many of our fellow “citizens” said about Obama!

It’s also what many of his critics said about Hitler before he got 100 fellow Nazis ELECTED – that’s right, ELECTED – to the Reischstag in 1933. They promptly VOTED TO GIVE HITLER TOTAL CONTROL OF THE GOVERNMENT. (Search “The Enabling Act of 1933”)

The rest is one of the saddest chapters in modern world history. Even sadder is that the bulk of Americans either never learned that history, forgot it or have filed it under “That could NEVER HAPPEN HERE”.

This previously sent video some of you may have overlooked or deleted will help you understand where this is going:

I was commenting about fascism and defining the problem in politics for interested readers. Here's one of the faces of fascism.

OpenSecrets.org
American Fedn of St/Cnty/Munic Employees [State/County/Municipal Employees]
[Total Contributions:] $94,708,977
[To Dems & liberals:] $93,739,954
[To Repubs & Conservs:] $671,755
[Pct to Dems & liberals:] 99%
[Pct to Repubs & Conservs:] 1%

And the other is, of course, the faction that the aforementioned get their pork from. Together, stuffed with cash flow and more than enough time on their hands, the two major factions control politics from all sides.

I'm a real conservative, watching the default process run its course before regulations, fees and taxes are relaxed (after all due cuts in big government spending) to make way for real production again. As for politicians, you know what we've always said about politicians. They lie. Everybody's got to serve somebody. Remember what happened to Nebuchadnezzar after an episode of vanity (in re. politicians).

There. That's for everyone who wants to read.

Doesn’t matter to me, I don’t fly and won’t until there is no more Gestapo, I mean, TSA fondling the passengers.

My wife and I flew back to SF yesterday from a trip. She hates going through the checks. Going there, my ticket said TSA Pre-checked, so I quickly walked through security, no line, didn't have to take anything off, tried to show my wallet from my pocket but they weren't interested (usually they would look inside it). Took me another ten minutes to wait for my wife going through the long line and Gestapo/TSA check. I laughed, and said maybe it had to do with me checking our one suitcase in. On the return flight, she checked in the suitcase and got the TSA Pre-check. Aha! It's supposedly random, but how secure is airline travel when anyone can be randomly skipped for an exhaustive check and fondling?

Well said. I’ll also add that Hitler told his followers everything that they wanted to hear. He made them even more rabid with his efforts to blame groups other than his own socialists for his nation’s problems. To this day, Nazis falsely present themselves as conservatives.
