Want to eat? Need that FOOD RATION BOOK!
And draconian penalties await those who fail to obey the regulations or help others do so. That’s when the burly armed men appear. And they will just be “following orders.†Now where have we heard THAT phrase before??

Well said. I’ll also add that Hitler told his followers everything that they wanted to hear. He made them even more rabid with his efforts to blame groups other than his own socialists for his nation’s problems. To this day, Nazis falsely present themselves as conservatives.
