CO shooter was living in the woods like Ted Kaczynski.

He had a cross made of straw on the wall of his cabin, so I guess that makes him a right wing Christian terrorist. /s

I remember reading that they would submit suspect DNA under a false name and see if they got any hits on it as primary or a relative. Very clever. Don’t know about the legality.

Remember when a person set off a small bomb outside his tax accountant’s office in Colorado Springs?

It was a non story till they found the NAACP office was in the same building. Then it became an BOMBING ATTEMPT ON THE NAACP OFFICES!

Even today I hear about the attempt to blow up the NAACP in Colorado Springs.

I don’t think that was my endgame.

I emphasize the notion of ‘insanity’ with the booze, drugs, porn etc. part of the crazy lives of the crazy killers.

Before serial killer Ted Bundy met his fate with “Old Sparky” down in Florida some years ago, he talked about pornography in his life.

If had talked about booze or pot or crack cocaine or whatever, it would not have been an excuse for his conduct.

As a drunk-addict, what I’m trying to say is that addictive behavior with whatever substance I choose to use is a slippery slope that leads to crossing legal boundaries.

For me speeding tickets and causing fender bender accidents were my experiences in crossing legal boundaries.

I see addiction with substances as a pathway to breaking the law and sometimes it can be way out there like robbery and murder.

It is my experience that sobriety and working the Steps in a program of recovery (like Alcoholics Anonymous) is a pathway to not crossing legal boundaries.

In my heart I sense the perp was in need of some sort of sobriety in their lives based on what I know about other mass killers as I mentioned in my earlier post.

In the rooms of recovery I meet people with booze, drug and porn-sex issues, along with overspending, overeating and the list goes on. Many of them like me have lawbreaking experiences.

I would suggest humbly that if more people would find some sobriety and sanity in their lives there would be less lawbreaking going on including this mass killing insanity going on.

I understand that at the end of Narcotics Anonymous meetings it is said “keep coming back or go out there and die”.

I see suicide and homicide as being linked to addiction and addiction as being a part of mass killers lives.

Yeah.....you have to take some of it with some salt.

Obviously the 250-300 lb guy was a not a girl named Robert....lol

What I am referring to is that the “attack” was not upon Planned parenthood, and was not likely a attack, but more of a altercation, robbery, or psycho event or all of them.

At the time I hit the sack last night, (wee hours of the AM) ABC news, which I get in a internet stream from WABC, was still calling it a attack on PP.

At this point, it’s not possible to know if the mayor is shading the story (don’t know what sort of man he is) to suit his beliefs, or just reporting the facts. He says we can “make inferences from where it took place”.

Reading further it seems this man was a hermit of sorts. Doesn’t mention abortion though, to people who knew him.

A mystery.

Yeah......

I am wondering if there is a explanation for why the Campus Police were involved.

Is the PP facility on campus?

You are right. It is mentally disturbed people. It’s not guns and it’s not Christians.

However, a priest friend (gay and liberal) posted this on my Facebook page this morning. I am still shaking.

“A good friend and I were talking yesterday that we think it strange the media does not use the term “Christian Terrorist” when reporting about the attack on the Colorado Planned Parenthood location...if he is a Christian. The media screams “Muslim Terrorist” constantly but almost never that Terrorist “A” was/is a Christian...we wondered why. We believe such reporting is unfair and reveals a dark bias. Treat all terrorist exactly the same: report the professed religion of all of them every time or never do it for any. Ones religion is not the issue.”

I believe I read the college is nearby.

It sounds as if Dear has mental problems from description of his neighbors.

Some details I’ve not seen, how long was he in Colorado Springs? Where was he living? Why pick here and not a PP in the Carolinas...does he have living family?

To say that the 50% of the public that supports a woman’s right to have an abortion support murder is sophistry. There are profound reasons to support either side. We should recognize that and not seek to clothe ourselves in moral superiority in our support of either.

I support your murder. Is that still ok?

. . . because the ones the media attribute to being Christians, are only Christian because the media decided they are. The Islamic terrorists identify themselves as Muslim, and proclaim to be doing it in the name of Allah.

Your “priest” friend is a fraud, anyhow.

Besides that, the media are slow to say the words “muslim terrorist”. Where does he get that they scream it? lol!

The question(s) your priest friend must answer are:

Does his religion command him to kill people of other religions ? When whacked out Christians commit crimes, do they always scream out they’re doing this in the name of Christ? Can your friend distinguish the difference between an INDIVIDUAL, committing evil acts, but not attributing the cause to Christ, Buddha, God etc.

This is a problem a great many haven’t been able to grasp. Every religion has sick, disturbed or evil people. But the islamists tell you to do these atrocious acts in the NAME OF ALLAH. That IS their jihad, their command.

Well said, SE Mom. That is indeed the difference. By the way, sorry for telling you last night that no one was killed by the shooter. The local news was reporting that and I didn’t realize they apparently meant “at the PP building.”

Domestic abuse and animal cruelty in South Carolina- living in a backwoods shack in North Carolina, rambling, incoherent conversations- moved to Colorado and registered to vote in Hartsel, CO in who know what circumstances. He appears to be mentally ill. Was he under treatment?

The mayor's statement is irresponsible- what a fool.

Yeah, all that taken together seems to indicate the whatever altercation occurred, it may likely have begun on the campus or very nearby.

I think PP was only where it ended...

But I could be wrong...If the guy is truly a nutter, none of it would make much sense.

If that is the case, then suicide by cop would make more sense, but he certainly failed at that..

This could be why they can’t seem to nail down a motive.
