Why Breitbart Website Is Fundraising For Ted Cruz…
The Conservative Tree House ^ | Nov 22, 2015 | Sundance

Posted on 11/22/2015 4:21:52 AM PST by free_life

This is apparently one of those things that is an open, and yet non-discussed, secret.

Several people have queried why they would be getting Ted Cruz campaign donation requests/solicitation directly from Breitbart, and/or getting donation requests from Ted Cruz on Breitbart letterhead.

The answer is simple, yet perhaps like me you never knew.

The Breitbart Media Group is financially backed and funded by Hedge-fund billionaire Robert Mercer. Mercer was/is the originating financial backer for the Ted Cruz "Keep the Promise" (KtP 1, KtP2 and KtP3) Super-PACs. Mercer is also the financial backing behind Cambridge Analytica.

Cambridge Analytica is the receiver of the contact information provided to Breitbart when you participate in their on-line Presidential Poll.

In essence, when you participate the Breitbart poll, you are sending your personal information into a data-base controlled by the proprietary interests of Robert Mercer, Cambridge Analytica. The Ted Cruz campaign then uses the data collected to fund-raise on behalf of the Campaign.

Perhaps I'm the last person to discover that Breitbart is essentially a political operation of the Cruz campaign, but this is akin to realizing the Clinton Global Initiative is the financial underwriter for the New York Times.

While all the dots have never been fully assembled, the facts around relationship have been discussed in various articles, yet never connected:

~ Politico outlines the Robert Mercer financial underwriting/ownership of Breitbart HERE

~ Christian Science Monitor article showing how much Mercer is invested in Ted Cruz HERE The New York Times goes into greater detail HERE

~ Politico July article outlining Robert Mercer's financial underwriting of Cambridge Analytica to collect: "psychographic" analyses of voters to try to win them over with narrowly targeted micro-messages" HERE

~ FEC distribution showing Ted Cruz Leadership PAC - Pre-Presidential Bid – Paying Cambridge Analytica HERE

It would appear the entire reason for Breitbart.Com to put their Presidential Preference Poll together was to gather information on visitors for later distribution to the Ted Cruz campaign, with the expressed intention of micro-targeting those participating visitors.

Knowing all of this, it certainly makes sense now why so many people have noted that Breitbart goes to extraordinary lengths to avoid any critical mentions of their candidate, Ted Cruz.

After all, this unique and unconventional relationship means Breitbart Media has a vested financial interest in Ted Cruz's candidacy, and a profound conflict of interest for any political editorial surrounding the ongoing 2016 Presidential Primary.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and now you know ...

Ok this is going to be interesting *grin*

I say let the truth be known and let the chips fall where they may! Personally I don't what and where that is yet in this case.

I suggest you read the comments at The Conservative Tree House on this article, a lot discussed in comments section.

Like this kind of thing doesn’t happen elsewhere?

And even if it doesn’t, so what?

I thank GOD that we have a conservative news outlet supporting a conservative AMERICAN

It is very unfortunate that we only have the one.

As to the BS reporting in this article - all quotes refer to LEFT WING neo-FASHIST publication who overwhelmingly support dictators like OBAMBY and the the Witch

I have indeed noticed weird Breitbart emails from Ted Cruz, saying stuff like “A personal message for you.. Dear Mr.xxxx, please see this video before it expires.”

I didn’t bother to actually watch the video to see if Ted Cruz made a personal video for me, LOL.

If we could pierce the financial screen of all the newspapers, websites, radio, and TV stations of the media, how many are independent and how many are a front for others; the Saudis, GE, Soros, etc?

Ummm....because they want to back a conservative? Instead of a bloviating Kardashian “Gosh, Ive been a conservative for at least 6 whole months...wink, wink”. Seems like a no brainer to me

I want to know why so many people are fooled into believing the conservative treehouse is conservative.

Only reason you say that is because it's highlighted Cruz's deception on TPA and immigration.

As for Breitbart, those bozos are pimping some homosexual named "Milo" who keeps putting up weird, bizarre articles on Breitbart praising himself. They've also published weird, anti-Trump articles only to have them disappear not long afterwards, and actually took more than 2 weeks to report that Carson supported TPP, since Carson went and announced it right on their radio program and so they had no choice.

It's a sad fact that ALL the conservative media outlets have their own bias. I once got invited, for example, to write for a magazine, but the editors wouldn't accept any work from me that was critical of Marco Rubio or touched on immigration. In fact, the editor had greatly praised my article, accepted it and put it in to be published. I was only contacted later saying that they couldn't publish anything about Marco and amnesty, and instead they wanted me to write a fluff piece about being a Hispanic conservative. I refused to do the work or to return their emails any further, since getting censored just pissed me off, even though it would have been a good opportunity for me.

In fact, come to think of it, to add to my previous post, ALL the emails I get from Cruz are kind of trollish. Like I’ve seen some titled “Dropping out,” or something else dire and alarming. I usually ignore them and put them within the same category as the miracle health cures or super investment secrets I get from Townhall or NewsMax.

CTH is a solid conservative site...and helps to expose GOP-e tricks.

Initially, Cruz was my guy but between his TPP/TPA support (rejecting Jeff Sessions) and Trump’s strong anti-ILLEGAL ALIENS stance, I’ve evolved to a Trump/Cruz ticket.

In addition, Cruz’s sudden amnesty support stinks of being bought by his big daddy donor, Robert Mercer who bankroll’s Cruz’s Super Pack and Breitbart.

Thank God we have Sundance at CTH to expose the GOP-E...and their stealth plans.

sundance writes in comments... Carson campaign and/or super-PAC paid NewsMax off several months ago. I previously wrote about it and shared the details (they paid Limbaugh and Hannity too – $300k to $400k if I remember right).

Dunno about Washington Examiner. But if you see an AD on their site, probably.
