I like both Trump and Cruz, preferably both. Cruz took a look at the areas of the TPP bill that Sessions was concerned about and agreed that Sessions was right. He and Sessions then worked together on immigration language for the TPA bill that would have addressed those problems, but Rand Paul and another Senator blocked their amendment. That was one of the reasons that Cruz voted against TPA on the final vote. He has come out against TPP.

Even Trump acknowledges that he and Cruz agree on the issues. Cruz has not said he would legalize anybody. We’ve first got to get the border secured, get the illegals that have broken other laws out of the country, stop all social services, penalize employers hiring illegals and once the incentives are dried up, millions will self deport.
Then we deal with the rest who are here according to what the American people decide. That may be a better idea than going to the expense of deporting them and then expediting their return.

Either way, both Trump and Cruz are serious about dealing with the illegal problem and it would be great having them work together for the country.

If you want to dismiss Breitbart in favor of Conservative Nuthouse

Notice that your prejudice is entirely dictated by who is or isn't Pro-Cruz. The ignorance of even who runs that particular website confirms you're simply being nasty due to your bias.

An acquaintance from another online forum, said he had a little disagreement with one (or more) of the CT people last year, over the Ferguson issue.

According to him: They were citing his research without attributing it to him or citing him as the source, etc. When he called them out about it, they blocked him, but continued to cull information from his online account (that they apparently were still culling information from).

He said he believed they were trying hard to become varsity players in the blogosphere (?) and wanted it to appear they were coming by the info in other ways. (I dont know what other ways that would be if not from culling online info.)

Ben Shapiro from Breitbart, has nothing nice to say about Trump. He’s not a fan.

He flip flopped on TPA after he took a beating over voting for it on social media. Just like he flip flopped on increasing H1B visas by 500%, jut like he flip flopped on letting Syrian “refugees” into the USA. Can you say flip floper?

Cruz’ dad is a pastor in Texas. Purifying Fire Ministries Carrollton Texas

The location of "Carrollton" of PFM is non-existent. There is no such church. I know that Rafael has been identified as a "pastor" from "Dallas," and later Carrollton, but there never was any physical location for any such ministry. As far as I can discern, Rafael Cruz was never a Pastor with a church. He was just a pastor, like of the Reverend Al Sharpton variety. Purifying Fire Ministries seems to have been an outfit, more specifically a website, associated with Benny Hinn ministries (the Benny Hinn who knocks people over with the Holy Spirit and grabs their money) of which Rafael Cruz worked with in some obscure way. It no longer exists however.

True, and Shapiro and I have written the only such articles on BB....he’s had several, I’ve had 1 or 2...and mine weren’t really negative, just circumspect. Overall, the Trump coverage on Breitbart has been massive and positive.

But they’re positive towards all except the GOP e types. And they recognize Trump is the biggest story at the moment (and has been for months).

no, my bias is toward the looney bin commenters that site has.....and against the amateurish cheerleading style of their main “writer” -

I have said, and I’ll repeat it for you again, that I prefer Trump over ALL Democrats and MOST Republicans - but I will NOT overlook his potential liberal red flags and I WILL have some fun at some of his most infantile support....

Prove it. Anyone can just bleat out unsubstantiated smears. The deal is that you need to prove it.

Cruz advocated bringing in Christians from Syria after the mass beheadings of Christians by ISIS. That was before they started the mass deporting of refugees that are infiltrated with ISIS.

Cruz listened to the American people on H1-B and he and Sessions are working to take care of the problem. Responding to voters is what a good leader does.

You hate Cruz, I get it, but Cruz was advocating a border wall in 2011 when Trump was still for amnesty. Trump was calling Romney mean spirited for talking about self deportation in 2012. Trump got on the right side of the issue. I don’t call it flip flopping, I call it a reasoned change of mind. I don’t have a double standard for the candidates.

Even Trump says he and Cruz agree on the issues.

If Sundance has a “problem” with religion, then why does the open thread always start with this?

Sunday Open Thread – November 22nd
Posted on November 22, 2015 by sundance

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

The number of stories on Breitbart have been overwhelmingly on Trump, all mostly positive, all that I’ve seen strongly defend Trump’s campaign, even on this thread page there is a Breitbart very positive story about Trump and his Birmingham rally and the media uproar regarding a protester.

CRUZ 2016!... with great appreciation for Donald Trump!

You basically lied straight out by claiming that this blog "came out of nowhere" and is run by the Trump campaign, because it simply shows that Cruz's billionaire donor is financially backing Breitbart. You had no reason to make this statement. You didn't actually do any research about this blog. More than likely, this is your first time reading it.

I've read your posts before, and you are far from some objective bystander who likes Trump.

This story should be about stealth fundraising techniques used by PACs. Not about Cruz.

That is what stood out to me too. They are all bought and paid for, you got a small group of ultra wealthy who control all media to benefit themselves in the end. I know Andrew would not approve. Hmmm why did he die again? So are all these supposed conservative sites sellouts? I guess I am too naive. Thank God for FR. Sundance made a lot of claims as did a few others in the comments, going to be reading more on all that later today.

Wait a minute... so you WRITE for Breitbart? That does explain your rabid support for Cruz, your apologia for Breitbart, your mindless ad-hom against a random blog, and your Trump bashing on this site!

I was a big fan of Ted Cruz until I concluded he is just another establishment globalist. His vote to fast track Obamas' secret trade deals was last straw for me.

I first started to worry about Cruz when Cruz wanted to punish Egypt for over throwing its' Muslim Brotherhood (MB) government. What the heck I thought doesn't Cruz realize the MB are the bad guys? That he was also open to legal status for illegals (with no pathway to citizenship, yea right) was troubling too. But I still supported him. Then he voted to reauthorize the hated unconstitutional Patriot Act. Again I did a WTH is wrong with you Ted? The Patriot Act shreds the 4th amendment! I thought you were a constitutional conservative? Now I had serious concerns about Cruz's alleged "Tea Party" conservatism. Then he voted to fast track 3 secrete job killing Obama trade deals. That was it for me. I was off the Ted Cruz bus.

Big money is controlling this election but not Trump. It is getting so you can’t trust anything you read anymore, so I just listen to what each candidate says via video and audio. I stopped reading Christian books a few years back and only read the bible now for same reason. Only the bible isn’t trying to sell you something.

Cruz voted against TPA. The amendments that offered legal status during the Gang of 8 fight were a tactic used to expose the Democrats. This was acknowledged by Jeff Sessions as well, who also offered amendments. Both Rush and Levin said that without Cruz, amnesty would today be the law of the land.

Cruz voted for the USA Freedom Act, which did away with the unfettered gathering of data. Rubio is the one who voted for the Patriot Act.

You are someone after my own heart :) I was just so amazed yesterday that the deception is so pervasive. You begin to see how even the elect can be deceived.

Please list the liberal positions The Conservative Treehouse espouses. Links would be helpful. I’ve been reading the site for years, and I’ve only seen one post that wasn’t definitely conservative. But it had nothing to do with issues, so it didn’t seem like a big deal.
