Palin: President Trump 'a very real possibility' (Cruz mentioned)

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin thinks a President Donald Trump is "a very real possibility."

"I think it's a very real possibility because people are really tired of professional politicians who, you know, won't call it like they see it and maybe don't have life experiences that allow them to prove a track record of success," the former vice presidential nominee said in a radio interview with WBT Charlotte's News Talk radio on Thursday.

"That's refreshing about Trump," she said. "He's a fighter. We know he's gonna put America first, and he really nailed it early on what the main problems are in America right now, so it's a very real possibility."

Carson supports amnesty, gun control, TPP and death panels. No Way.

If When he doesn't win the nomination he'll stay in the Senate hopefully as Majority Leader.

He will never be elected Senate Majority leader. It’s a lovely fantasy but no one posting it has outlined the way for Cruz to be elected to that position.

Cruz will make a fabulous President.

“How many vice-presidents in the last 200 years have won the White House? Cruz knows the answer to that. If he doesn’t win the nomination he’ll stay in the Senate.”

14 Presidents served as Vice President before assuming office; all but one of those served as V.P. immediately before becoming President.

16 Senators served before becoming President. Only three of them were Senators immediately before becoming President.

Being V.P. is a very good way to become President.

And one of them was not eligible.

The President of the Senate has no power unless there is a tie vote.

Not being a scholar on the VP job, I wonder if he really is powerless or just by custom.

You ping some one that kindly asked to not get into a pizzing contest and proceed to get nasty. Way to go Davey.

No one can crush Ted Cruz; not even Trump. That said, I would be very happy with a Trump-Cruz ticket. Trump will listen to Cruz and probably let Cruz pick the next US Supreme Court Justices.

How many vice-presidents in the last 200 years have won the White House?

Truman, Nixon, Ford, Johnson just to name a few.

Bush had Cheney who knew how to deal with the legislative branch. Trump needs someone like that. Cruz would be the best choice.

My first suggestion is Senate Majority leader, but the President can’t dictate that.

Can't dictate it but you may recall, GW was instrumental in getting Bill Frist elevated to Majority Leader.

best Senate Majority leader ever. That position has power.

Only when a democrat holds it. Otherwise the minority leader has all the power.

“Not to Trump. VP to Trump would be a nothing job.”

I don’t think so. Trump knows how to delegate, or he would not be where he is. Those who work for Trump say he is a great boss.

Trump and Cruz know and like each other, both have strengths and weaknesses, and I believe Trump knows he will need talented help to pull this off. That is one of the things he means when his answer to questions about how to do something is “Good Management”.

Moreover, Cruz is the smartest guy in the room, he will make the VP slot worthwhile.

I guess it is OK to denigrate Cruz, but nasty to "counter-punch". Every time some Trumpet dismisses Cruz by such patronizing and condescension as a good "vice president" I will respond to promote and defend the true and proven conservative. If you mess with the bull you get the horns, I will not sit idle while the Trumpets try to drown out all others.

If Cruz gets anywhere near Trump in the polls we will find out how much Trump likes Cruz. Also I'm trying to think how a guy that is supposedly as smart as Trump would pick Cruz as VP. What does Cruz offer as a Trump counterbalance? How will Cruz help against Hillary?
