Palin: President Trump 'a very real possibility' (Cruz mentioned)
POLITICO ^ | November 21, 2015 | Eliza Collins

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin thinks a President Donald Trump is "a very real possibility."

"I think it's a very real possibility because people are really tired of professional politicians who, you know, won't call it like they see it and maybe don't have life experiences that allow them to prove a track record of success," the former vice presidential nominee said in a radio interview with WBT Charlotte's News Talk radio on Thursday.

"That's refreshing about Trump," she said. "He's a fighter. We know he's gonna put America first, and he really nailed it early on what the main problems are in America right now, so it's a very real possibility."

Not yet. Cruz isn't ready just yet. In 8 years he will be ready.

Just not now.

I think it would still burn a lot of RINO butts to have him elevated in such a manner.

[Let’s try not to get into a nasty Trump vs Cruz battle.]

I think the only thing that works is a Trump/Cruz ticket. You need an alpha male ass like Trump to clear out the Washington dead wood. You need Ted’s intellectual and constitutional firepower. But Ted is still a little young and could get crushed by the beltway if left on his own. Trump/Cruz gets us 16 years of Cruz.

That’s my best guess anyway.

“The President of the Senate has no power unless there is a tie vote.”

Well, we’ve seen 8 years of what a creative person can do to expand the powers of the presidency. How bout 8 years of a creative person changing the role of the veep?

Palin also said that South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley could be a potential running mate for theeventual Republican nominee.

Not after her cave on the Confederate flag.

Ping to Sarah's Conservative List!

"There's also of course a possibility that people are going to recognize in, say, Ted Cruz, that he knows what he's doing and he's a great guy. He could certainly help put the country back on the right track," she said. "Thankfully, we have a strong, competitive primary ... as opposed to the other side of the aisle."

Perfectly Said Sarah!

Cruz would make a great Veep (and President of the Senate).

If Trump wins the nomination I can see Rubio accepting the veep spot before Cruz. Ted Cruz wants to be president and knows that being Vice President is not a path to the White House. And Rubio needs a job.

Trump/Cruz gets us 16 years of Cruz.

How many vice-presidents in the last 200 years have won the White House? Cruz knows the answer to that. If he doesn't win the nomination he'll stay in the Senate.

Trump/Carson with Cruz as replacement for Ruth Ginsburg.

Your judgment is so off...I don't think anyone around here cares about your opinion.

You had a chance...and you blew it.

Cruz just has too much ground to make up and its getting late in the game. Trump is the likely GOP nominee. I like Cruz for VP or AG. He’s a good guy.

I don’t think. My first suggestion is Senate Majority leader, but the President can’t dictate that. My next choice is an oddball choice for Cruz, but guaranteed to up his gravitas and credentials. Secretary of State. I mean he is very diplomatic and precise in language. No ambiguity yet non threatening.

However, I just prefer Trump to pick non-senators just to maintain the majority as long as possible. Perhaps 1 or 2 suggestions in solid Red States like Texas.

Trump and Cruz are the only 2 candidates worth voting for. OF course, I prefer Trump because he is self-funded and not owned by donors such as Goldman Sachs, or Berkshire. But, if Trump doesn’t get the nod, then I will vote for Cruz - no one else. My thoughts are that I don’t see Cruz getting the cross over votes, so that’s a problem.

The Battle has not yet started—armies are just moving about trying to find a battlefield. Wait til March! The dirt will fly—and maybe worse! Lies, rumors, destruction, and dirty tricks will dominate. It could even get bloody! people could die—The Liberals will try anything to keep in power (RINOstoo). I put nothing past them.

Cruz would be the best Senate Majority leader ever. That position has power.
