Brass tacks discussion on Islam

Posted on 11/18/2015 8:12:10 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Ok, let's get down to brass tacks.

How long has the Islam religion been around and have they always been so hateful and violent (like so many of them are today)?

I believe they claim to be direct descendants of Abraham but I also believe that Abraham was a favorite of our one true Judeo-Christian God, and was the father or grandfather of the Jewish and Christian religions.

I have a hard time believing that our loving Judeo-Christian God is also the Islam God, Allah, whose Muslim followers seem to be so misplaced.

Haven't the warlike Muslim tribes fanned out and violently conquered every nation in their 1400 year path of conquest?

Did God command them to conquer and dominate the entire world? Did he command them to demand infidels to submit, convert or die?

Who and what are these people and who is Allah?

This Muslim violence seems to have been going on worldwide for at least 1400 years.

Could it be that Islam IS the enemy (despite Obama's many denials)?

Does Obama know this?

Do you mean, does he know of the different translations of the Holy Quran?

I doubt it.

IMHO None of our leaders, including the Bush family has ever read a true copy of the Holy Quran.

Two reasons for this.

1. If you were going to give a gift of a Holy Quran to a person of power or wealth, what one would you give him?

The best looking "presentation" Holy Quran sold in USA bookstores is a green leather bound one for over a hundred bucks. Makes a great gift.

The left side of every page is in Arabic, the right in English.

2. If you were an Arabic reading Muslim, and you knew the different translations, you would give any infidel the modified for infidels one to make them think Islam was a "religion of peace".

I asked a non Muslim friend who reads Arabic to go to a bookstore with me and read the Arabic side vs the English one.

I selected a sura, "Spoils of War", as I know that is one substantially modified for USA consumption.

He looked in shock as he read them.

He commented that they might as well be two different books.

On the Arabic side, The title is "spoils of War".

It details how Allah will rain fire upon the infidels.

It explains how the true believers who fight in the jihad will receive a greater amount of the spoils and those true believers who remained home and did not fight will receive a lesser portion.

The English side, as well as most modern translations in the last 20 to 40 years, is titled, "Victory".

It just says that Allah will shower the true believers with "great acquisitions".

It never says anything about jihad or where those "acquisitions" comes from.

IMHO most infidels (Americans, westerners in general, etc., who have taken the time to read the Holy Quran have had the wool pulled over their eyes.

These modern translations are Taqiyya.

Lying to advance the cause of Islam.

Anyone who reads them would believe Islam is a "religion of peace".

I'm just lucky to have read a translation from the 1800s that tells it like it is.

When I bought a modern one, I was shocked to see the differences.

I started searching the internet for true translations.

Some are on http://www.gutenberg.org in the religion section.

IMHO our leaders have been unknowingly basing our government policy on a complete lie for the last 40 years or so.

I would say this definitely includes Clinton and the Bushs, It probably includes Obama.

Does Obama believe like these people?

If you mean does he believe "there is no God but Allah, and Muhammed is his messenger"

I don't know.

If I were to venture a guess, I would say some of his beliefs may be based on what he learned as a child, which might be true Islamic teachings, some may be based on reading the modified versions of the Holy Quran.

No real way of knowing.

I do believe he considers himself Muslim.

I wonder if leaders in Muslim countries consider him a Muslim?

I’ve never believed that Obama is a Muslim, per se. I believe he’s a humanist/atheist, but that before becoming such, he was probably a practicing Muslim, though not at all fanatical or even much interested in it. I imagine he was immersed in Islam the way many American children are immersed in Christianity - it’s the relation of the parents, they go to church and participate in the rituals up to a certain age, but never really feel it. But I imagine he’s considerably more fluent in Islam than he is in Christianity.

A parallel (not to be confused with am equivalency) could certainly be made with Jewish law as found in their Bible/Christian Old Testament which is also not workable under our Constitution. Many of the proscriptions in the old Jewish law are similarly unworkable in our society. I’ve not seen anyone advocating for implementation of OT law, however. Not even in Israel, a Jewish state, follows the letter of the law.

A case can be made (as antithetical as it may sound) for cultural Islam which like cultural Christianity misses the point of the religion but keeps some of the more pleasant, social norms, activities and beliefs. Still, the problem with the Qur’an and hadith remain. A literal reading and much of the Islamic scholarship pushes adherents to at least radicalism if not terrorism.

No, he was not considered illegal at the time he was born.

People have to put away the customs and laws of TODAY .. and look at what the customs and laws were during the time of the births of Ishmael and Isaac.

And .. we’re talking about Jewish Law .. which was not necessarily the laws of other groups of people.

As I stated clearly in 115, the laws at the time of Ishmael’s birth were totally different from what we have today. Clearly, any slave was the “property” of the family. Therefore, though Ishmael was not CONSIDERED the “first born” (because he was not born of Sarah who was the wife of Abraham - by Covenant Marriage); and this is why Isaac was the child of God’s promise .. and Ishmael could not be the child of promise because his mother was not a part of a Covenant marriage to Abraham. It’s really that simple.

However, Hagar caused her own problems. She did not understand her place “in the family” (primarily because she was not Jewish; she was Egyptian). Ishmael was still a child of Abraham, and he would have had high standing in the family, but he was NOT entitled to the inheritance.

So, you cannot judge Ishmael’s place by the LAWS OF TODAY; that is why you’re trying to say Ishmael was “illegal”. By today’s standard, Ishmael would have been an “illegitimate” child; but during Abraham’s time .. the laws were totally different.

According to the scriptures, Armageddon does not occur until after the rapture of the church.

I have for the last few months, been attending a Bible school course. Just got down with this quarter for Thanksgiving. Did first on the book of Exodus. Genesis is next. Had one teacher for the Exodus classes. Another one is coming in for the rest of this term. Was going to throw that possible question about if Ishmael was legit or not. May still do it, but have to go beyond what we do know today and go into the backround of the Bible period.

Be careful that they don’t try to teach you that Ishmael (who’s descendants are ISIS), have a legitimate claim against the land Israel occupies.

If they do try to teach that false doctrine, you probably need to find another Bible study.

Isn't our president required to protect and defend the constitution of the United States, so help me God? And which God applies (in Obama's case)?

taqiyyah:
-- In Islam, the practice of concealing one’s belief and foregoing ordinary religious duties when under threat of death or injury.

-- Lying to non-Muslims in advance for Islam is allowed till Judgment Day Quran 3:28, 16:106

-- It is fine to deceive the infidels. They are just pigs anyways. In fact, al-Taqiyyah of the Qur'an compels protection of Islam by deception.

Given that Muslims believe in the Koran as being an eternal entity, I’m surprised they have difficulty with the idea that a copy of it might have existed prior to the “official” account of it being written down.

The Quran (Koran) was supposedly "revealed to Muhammad, starting one night during the month of Ramadan in 610 AD, when he, at the age of forty, received the first revelation from the angel Gabriel, who had given him the responsibility for inscribing these messages from the Islamic God to give to mankind.

Muslim scholars believe that prophet Muhammad was illiterate, as mentioned in the Quran itself:

"Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them......"Quran 7:157."

-----

No doubt fingerprints of Jews are somewhere to be found.

No matter who's fingerprints are on the fragments, if it can be proven similar scriptures (fragments) existed prior to Mohammed's version of the Koran (by whatever dating means), it creates a quandary - since Mohammed said he received it from the "Angel Gabriel". What a stinker if he actually plagiarized it from someone else. And this could explain why there was much activity shortly after to destroy all manuscripts except for the "one true copy" of course!

More details here from Wikipedia: History of the Quran

Will Obama and his followers expect Americans to lie down be slaughtered like the Armenian Christians?

Maybe that's why Obama had the government buy up all the ammo. Some of those government purchasers were people with questionable loyalties. I know of one who had ties to anti-white rhetoric.

This Homeland Security Employee Is Preparing for a Coming Race War

And at the risk of being labeled a conspiracy theorist, take a good long look at who he has running DHS. Also, who is our NSA head - a Muslim convert.

It's a multifaceted, multi-front, complicated mess, that we find ourselves mired in. Not the least of which are our own sins against the unborn and the Almighty's institutions.

In your research, take a close look at "Mystery Babylon/Daughter of Babylon". It started out as a golden cup in God's hand (sounds like America), then descended into all kinds of immorality until finally God stirs up the Medes (decedents of Ishmael) against it (what we're seeing now).

When you really dig into all this, it will simply astound you how things are working out inline with prophecy and even other convergences outside of scripture.

Yes, Mohammed is said to have received the text of the Koran by revelation from Gabriel over a period of time.

The best explanation I’ve read is that the Koran is likened to the Christian belief in Christ as always existing. Think Christ as the Logos. Muhammed may have received revelation but the Koran, as the word of Allah, is believed to be eternal and preexisted it’s revelation to Mad Mo. In that same analogy, Mo is likened to Mary giving birth to the preexistent Christ.

Of course there’s always a minority Shia accounts of Mo reviewing the text of the Koran with Ali. I haven’t bothered to read much about it, only enough to be amused by it.

Given the belief in the preexistent Koran, any versions proven to predate the official historical account will no doubt be explained away.

Is there really such a thing as “radical Islam?” Ot is the basic prmise of Islam itself completely radical and incompatible with Judeo-Christianiy?

The best explanation I’ve read is that the Koran is likened to the Christian belief in Christ as always existing.

A linked source would be nice.

Second, if that's the best explanation to be found, it's a pretty idiotic one. Mohammed was a scoundrel of the worst sort before he received his vision and command from Allah to give the Koran to mankind. He is more like a spawn of Satan as is his Koran.

Scriptures in the Bible from the OT existed well before Christ and many, many prophecies came to pass just as prophesied, including the Christ's birth.

Isaiah 46:10 I make known the end from the beginning...

There is no comparison between the two, unless you seriously wish to compare an entire volume of encyclopedias to a first grade reader. And this is just the books included in both the OT and NT. There are many other books not include in our current Bible, such as the book of Enoch, Jasher, ..., there is a long list.

Islam is based on what, three books of questionable origin?

Unfortunately most people don't know the truth. Our churches and institutions have done a horrific job in actually educating the masses, and a major reason we're in the shape we're in.

That's the thing about the Jews, orthodox Christians, and even the Muslims. They do a much better job of getting subject matter into the heads of their people than does Western Christianity. Even if in the case of Islam, the Koran is total BS / or from Satan. That kind of truth telling has contributed to many losing their heads whereas the word of God praise those who question and seek the truth.

There is a lot to learn and no one living today knows it all. But all need to know the basic truth.
