Roanoke Mayor David Bowers: Reject refugees like U.S. interned Japanese

Roanoke should refuse to help settle Syrian refugees in the U.S. just as Franklin Delano Roosevelt interned Japanese Americans in America during World War II.

That’s the argument being made by the Southwestern Virginia city’s Democratic mayor, David Bowers. In a statement Wednesday, he said he was requesting that all government and non-government organizations in the city suspend any assistance to Syrian refugees “until these serious hostilities and atrocities end.”

I’m not taking his words seriously as he’s a hardcore Democrat, and he didn’t mean a single damned word of what he said.

I almost responded as you they’ll never get assistance, because the hostilities, and atrocities will never end, and that’s a good thing. Yay for Bowers, but then I realized his status as a Democrat. Democrats lie as much as Islamists.

Well, it's a bit more complicated than that. Most of the interred "Japanese" were second and third generation American citizens, who didn't even speak Japanese.

The analogies these idiot politicians are trying to use are akin to apples and oranges.

A better example is the internment of German Americans who were actual members of the Nazi-backed American Bund.

Thanks, I agree. My point was that after we declared war against Germany and Japan, did we welcome immigrants from those countries? My guess is no. Therefore, why are we doing it now from radicalized Muslim countries? Unless, as the regime says, “We are not at war with them”. It is insane.
