Vindaloo and Tyler Too! ;-)
There is a fascinating to look at large Hindu temple one town over from where I live in the Chicagoland Western Suburbs (the most conservative suburbs are the Western ones). The temple is located in Lemont, IL. I occasionally drive around it, and have at times stopped to ask those who go there questions about it.
There are statues exterior to the main temple of I believe Hindu important historical personages. Now that Iâm thinking about it, Iâm going to find the website for it online (Iâm sure they must have one). Iâll Google Hindu Temple in Lemont, IL, and see what pops up.
Yes!
IIRC there were four and Atlanta was the largest?
The Bartlett site is open most days, but you never know when they have a private event.
Take a tour! Nice friendly people.
If you should eat there, I liked the food!
But the peppers are NUCLEAR grade!!!WARNING!
Beyond compare!!!
And the ‘Hot Mix’ snack food, the best!!!
Great junk food!
One of their temples was shot up my muzzies, many deaths.
Despite Free Relublic sweetheart embrace of non whites time and again as good manners
Like nearly all non whites now Indians too vote liberal
Hard work means diddly to be honest.....lets be truthful
Jews are great workers but arguably our most liberal and influential sub group even though they work and value family ties
On the other hand trailer park rednecks or true hollow living hillbillies may have less than stellar productive lives and a chain of broken families but are still God Guns Guts and America
It’s more complicated than “oh they work hard” or “they’re Catholic they must be conservative”
Now it’s often and race and some sort of minority status.....religion gender etc
Anyone who thinks America in particular and the West in general is one big social injustice against non whites ...women...and non Christians
And I fear this is where we will lose many Indians especially those who cluster in urban areas like they do in NYC
I’m all for anyone socially conservative but I DO NOT want to hear SHITE about their non white or non Christian status
Course none will stop freepers from being PC
THEY SIMPLY DONT KNOW DIFFERENT
*yes I know most Indians are Caucazoidal but it should be pointed out they voted 95% for Obama per some exit polls in 2012
Note to race based “conservative” lobbies and groups:
WE DON’T GIVE A DAMN WHAT COLOR YOU ARE OR YOUR ETHNICITY. ONLY YOUR ACTIONS.
I am pretty sure I have visited that temple a couple of times. Left the area in 1997. All I remember now from Chicago area are the good golf courses and the great restaurants LOL. One thing to keep in mind about Hindu religion is, it is practiced more privately than in designated public buildings. Growing up in India, I recall various religious celebrations done at home with family and friends, rather than going to a temple.
Since immigrants from India are one of the more prosperous bunch in United States, I am shocked why majority vote democrat. It is because they are fooled into thinking democrats are more inclusive minded than republicans.
Not true. My best childhood friend was a Muslim kid neighbor. In college, I also had a few Muslim friends. None were radical. They were from very successful and educated families. India has perhaps 200 million Muslims. But you do not see many joining ISIS & Al Qaeda. Most radical Muslims are from the middle-East. That does not mean there is a complete lack of radical Muslims in India. But overwhelming number of Muslims in India get along with other religions, including Hindu’s, Buddhists, Sikhs & Christians. At least it was that way when I grew up. I left India in 1960’s and have adopted US as my country now.
“same for Sikhs. youâll have never more faithful friend and theyâve been battling muslims for centuries”
I worked with an older Sikh up North who actually WORE a dagger to work in the mid-80’s to early 90’s. No one ever asked if it was “dull” or “sharp” or for that matter, if it was made of rubber. And no one thought anything of it...!
Pictures of 100% Indians of today:
The GOPe ran one of these “conservative” Hindus for Governor here in California, after killing off the Tea Party favorite in the primary.
Jeb Bush, Karl Rove, Mitt Romney, Condoleeza Rice, Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved were among the assassins who dispatched tea party favorite Tim Donnolly to clear the path for the Hindu whiz kid.
This “conservative” Hindu is Neel Kashkari. A “conservative” who said that he voted for Obama, twice. A “conservative” who supports Gay Marriage, Amnesty for Illegals, and Abortion.
All of this was known to Bush, Rove, Romney, Rice, Medved and Hewitt when they warned that nominating Tim Donnolly of the tea party would mean a national disaster for the Republican Party.
So why did they like Kashkari? Because he’s not a WASP. Not a white Anglo Saxon Protestant. The GOPe is just as anxious to transform America as Obama is. They simply want their own exotic foreigner to be in power.
The 1965 immigration act has been a disaster for this country. Those of us who remember America before it know what the country was like before it was reduced to a carcass being fought over by rival bands of aliens.
I like your tag line. I may have to borrow it. Mine says the same thing, but mine is too long.
Not true. India has several old Jewish communities in Kochi, Mumbai, and Arunachal. The only persecution they ever faced was not from Hindus - but from the Portugese colonialists.
Feel free.
Precisely why I said most instead of all.
I’ve been to India a few times and worked with Indians in London....upper class Indians
I also had an Indian paramour in Whitehall....she owned a nice bar restaurant
I’m not particularly drawn to their women but when they are hot they are like smoking hot but as a rule their girls are not like Italy or Ukraine.....more plain....over swarthy
It was torrid and then some but she made it very clear her fam would only accept another named Indian family from Delhi like hers
Some Brahmin Indians I worked with London Diamond Corp were as light as someone from Madrid
And tended to be conservative
Btw
U went to a lot of trouble
Tks
And Miss Leone....a bad girl but hardly ugly
Even though I'm not often drawn to Indian women when I am they are solid 9.5s and up.....really stellar
That girl in London i was involved with who likely married a rich boy from another fancy family was so beautiful
I was living off Tottenham court and when I first saw her I just kel going in there to eat till she paid attention to me
We traveled together around Europe and had a great love affair but it was never ever to be permanent and she kept it from her folks given their view of foreigners
A view I now understand quite well keeping the culture in the family
My parents met her and my dad swooned over her given she was very sweet to him and so incredible
He would always say she was damn sure prettier than Michael Caines wife....lol....that was his only reference point but he was right she was and Caines wife had been miss world
Pure Indians come from somewhere west of the Urals long ago even before Alexander
On the fringes they mixed with Australiods which darkened up some
The original Aryans share Teutonic ancestry and their language hints at that to a professional linguist
And yes much like the Dom Rep
It's a matter of shades associated with class
We have three Hindu temples in Nashville
Ours tend to be more conservative
Especially Sikhs
a beauty anywhere
Thanks for the link... watching it now.
“India was invaded by fair skinned and Caucasian Aryan nomads around 4000 years ago.”
What they are saying now:
Genetic study dismisses Aryan invasion as myth
Experts claim there is no proof of invasion and that India has had genetic continuity for centuries
By Mayuri Phadnis, Pune Mirror, July 6, 2015
Those ^^experts^^ have no proof, just conjecture. There is no recorded history, no photographs, no genetics history of where the Aryans came from. It is attempt to sell books by Mayuri Phadnis or whoever. There is no doubt that lot of mixing of races occured, and 4000 years is a very long time. DNA proof is a joke after all those years.
