A five-year-old boy was discovered hidden under his mother's lifeless body inside the Bataclan Theatre after she sacrificed herself to save him.

Elsa Delplace, 35, used her body as a human shield to protect her son Louis when ISIS gunmen opened fire on the crowd at an Eagles of Death Metal concert in the theatre.

Her mother, 61-year-old Patricia San Martin, also died during the massacre, one of a series of coordinated attacks on the French capital on Friday night.

Elsa Delplace, 35, died during the mass shooting at a concert at the Bataclan Theatre on Friday night. Both her and her mother Patricia, 61, died protecting her five-year-old son. Louis was discovered, covered in their blood and sheltering underneath their bodies. ISIS gunmen burst into the venue before unleashing a hail of bullets on the terrified crowd, and detonating their suicide vests. Some 89 people died inside the theatre, as part of a series of coordinated attacks across the city that left 129 people dead.

Well, the whole situation is going to mess him up. Those agents of Satan tortured people who they had already mortally wounded by slitting their stomachs while they laid helpless on the ground. I couldn’t imagine hearing torture. Even fake torture on TV makes me ill. So this kid had to lose his mother and grandmother and hear and see torture. I know I couldn’t handle that.
