Trump reacts to Jindal's exit: 'He was a little nasty to me'
The Washington Examiner ^ | 11/18/2015 | Gabby Morrongiello

Donald Trump is taking it easy on Bobby Jindal, despite being called an "egomaniacal madman" by the Louisiana governor just two months before Jindal decided to withdraw from the 2016 presidential race.

"[Jindal] was, you know, a little nasty with me," Trump told CNN Wednesday, less than 24 hours after the two-term governor announced the suspension of his campaign during an appearance on Fox News.

"But I think ultimately [he] was very nice," Trump added. "Everyone's nasty to me because they want to get votes."

"Jindal went off on Trump like a lunatic. Trump was right not to sit back and take it; he stuffed it right back down Bobbie's throat, from where it came."

Like Holly Holm, Trump fights back when someone hits him.

Hey, dumb-dumb...Do your homework before you embarrass yourself again.

Why would I be embarrassed you your shameful and classless rhetoric? Embarrassed for our education system, sure - embarrassed for Free Republic, certainly! But as an open forum we have to let even the less articulate and mentally challenged post from time to time, so feel free - it is after all "Free Republic" . I understand that you feel a certain kinship with Trump who also lacks decorum and human decency in his own language, perhaps both you and Trump could take some remedial classes together on vocabulary, manners, human compassion and magnanimity.

Who does Jindal support and did he apologize to Trump for his outlandish remarks? No. If Jindal apoogizes I am sure Trump will graciously accept.

I couldn’t understand what possessed Jindal to attack and so venomously.
There was a rage quality to it that diminished my estimation of Jindal.

Shockingly, Donald Trump immediately interprets a new event solely in terms of how it affects his personal feelings.

LOLOL!!! {^)

I wonder when people are going to start waking up to the risks of having a showman businessman as president. A showman's job is to entertain and generate applause; a businessman's job is make whatever enterprise he oversees, prosper and grow.

If you want government to prosper and grow, elect a businessman as president. If you want the White House administration to work on a model of entertaining and generating applause, elect a showman.

If you want government to shrink and get out of people's hair, and a White House administration that works on a model of statesmanship, elect a limited government Christian Constitutional conservative politician.

I'd be a bit more enthusiastic of him as a candidate if I didn't have to hear about his every thought. That doesn't cost Trump a single vote if he omitted commenting on each and every candidate or event in human history.

It's the difference between a patriotic showman, and a patriotic statesman.

"Shockingly, Donald Trump immediately interprets a new event solely in terms of how it affects his personal feelings."

That is what you just did.

All wideawake did was observe what Trump did. Wideawake didn't refer to him/herself at all.

Just amazing that you would even consider that wideawake's comment had anything at all to do with wideawake's personal feelings. Trump's statement had everything to do with Trump's personal feelings!

Just wow.

Look how much free air time TRUMP is getting for his Jindal comment.

Again, illustrating the difference between a showman and a statesman. Trump, patriot that he is, is nonetheless a showman at heart.

Trump is an emotional candidate for emotional voters.

Cruz is a logical candidate for reasoning voters.

Yes and the Trump cheerleaders here seem to appreciate the showman.

While I don't blame those who are desperately looking for any voice stand in the gap after seven years of this abomination we've endured (not to mention the last two RINO candidates who ostensibly attempted to win one for our side) I look forward to hearing Cruz again, a real statesman.

So why is Trump trouncing all his opponents? Why is Trump resonating with the voters in almost every state? Is your viewpoint in the minority? Why why why?

Because the majority viewpoint is currently the emotional one? And because for SEVEN YEARS, up until 2013, Trump had a national hit TV show that promoted him constantly as a brilliant brassy billionaire genius?

He's a showman, entropy. A sincere patriot, but a showman and a businessman. The last thing we need in the White House. Government MUST REMAIN the opposite of business and entertainment if you want to live free.

"Everyone's nasty to me because they want to get votes."

A sentiment faintly reminiscent of Richard Nixon in the style of his "Checkers" speech.

Frankly, that statement there is the one that smells. Heed the early warning signs.

I am the most fabulous whiner. I do whine because I want to win. And I'm not happy if I'm not winning. And I am a whiner. And I'm a whiner and I keep whining and whining until I win. And I'm going to win for the country and I'm going to make our country great again.

Yeah, with brilliant plans like a "really really terrific" replacement for Obamacare, and he will whine and persist when people wake up and say, "Wait a minute -- the Federal government is STILL involved where it has zero business, and this is just a Coca-Cola version of Pepsi-style health care!"

His whining will really be fabulous then because he is determined that HIS way is the way to "make our country great again," and WE may think, "Wrong, pal." He has just told you what he'll do if that happens -- whine and whine until he wins and we have Trumpcare instead of Obamacare.

I want what Cruz has to offer -- repeal Obamacare, PERIOD. Then talk about a replacement, and Cruz being limited-government, probably means the Federal government will have zero place in it except to be CUT.

Get past all that. Trump warned us about the spread of terrorism and the need to stop ISIS, in an urgent, passionate way, BEFORE the Paris massacre.

So did Cruz, dear. In fact, on Sept. 9, Cruz was publicly saying that Syrian refugees in the U.S. were a bad idea.

Meanwhile, on Sept. 8,Trump was saying he thought the U.S. should accept some Syrian refugees, and changed his mind the very next day and was saying he thought the U.S. response should be "should be very careful", limited, etc. The same day Cruz was warning against taking them in because of the danger they pose.

Sure, in 2014 Cruz was okay with Syrian refugees in the U.S., but that was when they were talking about hundreds, not thousands or tens of thousands.

Sure, Trump is right on this, but don't kid yourself by saying that Cruz wasn't on it first.

Hey, dumb-dumb...Do your homework before you embarrass yourself again.

As always -- the behavior of a candidate's supporters speaks volumes about the candidate.

I try to remain respectful and civil because I know that what I say here reflects on Cruz, and also because it is the right way to be. I don't always succeed, but I aim for it.

The more base, rude, angry, emotional, and insulting Trump supporters get, the more it indicates that Trump is indeed a pop culture hero, as so much of pop culture today is rude, base, angry, emotional, and insulting. Maybe they think that's what it takes to win elections these days.

Me, I remember Ecclesiastes: "There is nothing new under the sun." The idea that rudeness and personal insult are not bad things in these "new" times is actually as old as the hills, and the truth that civility and respect are ALWAYS good ideas, remains as solid as the mountains.

Trump is far more than a showman. Trump has built more real things in the main street economy through a privately owned corporation than (Obama+Bush-43+Bill Clinton+Bush-41+Reagan+Carter+Nixon+Ford+LBJ+JFK+IKE+Jeb Bush+Dr Carson+Rubio+Cruz+Fiorina+Huckabee+Jindal+Perry+Walker) Combined.
