Trump reacts to Jindal's exit: 'He was a little nasty to me'
The Washington Examiner ^ | 11/18/2015 | Gabby Morrongiello

Donald Trump is taking it easy on Bobby Jindal, despite being called an "egomaniacal madman" by the Louisiana governor just two months before Jindal decided to withdraw from the 2016 presidential race.

"[Jindal] was, you know, a little nasty with me," Trump told CNN Wednesday, less than 24 hours after the two-term governor announced the suspension of his campaign during an appearance on Fox News.

"But I think ultimately [he] was very nice," Trump added. "Everyone's nasty to me because they want to get votes."

Frankly, sometimes Trump sounds like a whiny kid. He is as thin skinned as the current guy in the white house.

While that may be true, Trump built a multi-billion dollar legitimate fortune on his own that houses thousands upon thousands of businesses, residents, sportspersons and vacationers around the globe, employing further thousands upon thousands. His furniture, clothing, food and drink businesses and the 50 books he has written have reached other mulititudes. His grown children are a credit to him, and even his ex-wives don't badmouth him.

The guy in the WH organized a few communities.

...however legitimate Trump thinks it is, to insult a guy on the way out the door!

Here is some of what Jindal said:

"...he looks like he's got a squirrel sitting on his head...," Jindal said... Jindal was the latest candidate to come out swinging at the Republican frontrunner Thursday, saying in a speech at the National Press Club that Trump is "absurd" and a "non-serious carnival act."

"Donald Trump is shallow," Jindal said. "Donald Trump is a narcissist and an egomaniac...like all narcissists, Donald Trump is insecure and weak, and afraid of being exposed." He spent several minutes explaining his thesis.

This is what Trump said when Jindal folded (in the above article at the link):

"[Jindal] was, you know, a little nasty with me," Trump told CNN Wednesday, less than 24 hours after [Jindal] announced the suspension of his campaign... "But I think ultimately [he] was very nice," Trump added. "Everyone's nasty to me because they want to get votes."

Explain to me then, zerosix, how are Trump's remarks nasty, especially in comparison? He just stated the facts of the situation.

In Trump’s own words...
“I think he’s probably right. I am the most fabulous whiner. I do whine because I want to win. And I’m not happy if I’m not winning. And I am a whiner. And I’m a whiner and I keep whining and whining until I win,” he said. “And I’m going to win for the country and I’m going to make our country great again.”

Really. He has been so nasty to everyone and then is shocked when they respond.

You got it about 180 degrees out...Trumps was nice to everyone til they first went into attack mode...What they can't seem to understand is Trump is loaded for bear...So when Trumps responds to the attacks, he is perceived as such a meanie...

All these people run their mouth against Trump are are just shocked when he unloads the hammer on them...

Everything you've listed is subjective and negative, the exception being the eminent domain situation which is not a point in his favor.

Get past all that. Trump warned us about the spread of terrorism and the need to stop ISIS, in an urgent, passionate way, BEFORE the Paris massacre. He's awakened the sleeping giant, that is US citizens who would've let a very bad hillary vs Jeb situation if Trump didn't stir things up.

The question is who can inspire and lead. The US needs saving, and I just don't see any of the wannabees having the forceful engaging personality to get it done.

I can’t disagree with that. That is what it is. Either accept the reality or simply give up. Better chance of working with Trump on conservative issues than with Hillary in WH. So you are left with these choices:

1) go with a nationalist America First Trump -or-
2) vote for some other republican candidate who looks to lose nomination.

After 5 months, Trump has not budged from 1st place in polls, still winning by double digits. If Trump wins Iowa, it is all but over. If Trump loses Iowa to Carson, but wins NH by double digits, Trump gains momentum and will trounce every one in SC. Then it is also over. If Trump wins Florida, that is final nail in the coffin of his opponents.

I have a longer list explaining how Trump has become more conservative with age. I am near his age, and take it from me, life outlook is different when the end is coming closer and closer.

Trump is conservative on these issues:

Pro life since at least 2011, wanted to ban partial birth abortion as far back as 2000.
Pro Traditional marriage. "Gay rights is not my thing."
Pro capital punishment "Capital punishment isn't uncivilized; murderers living is"
Hold Judges accountable
Opposes "Common core is a disaster" Teach citizenship, quit "dumbing down".
Anti education unions (2000)
For school choice
"Climate Change is a hoax"
"No Cap-and-Tax"
For drilling our own.
On Environment "Good development enhances the environment"
Stressed the importance of a strong family & culture of life (2015)
Supports Israel
Opposes Iran deal and letting Iran obtain the bomb.
Wants to crush ISIS quickly.
Wants a military so strong no one will challenge us.
Against unbalanced trade deals that kill American jobs.
Against warrant-less government surveillance of citizens.
Is against having a high national debt. Warns that $24T is a point of no return.
Against gun control
For assault weapon ban but says the AR-15 shouldn't be considered an assault weapon.
Wants to repeal Obamacare and replace it with market driven polices and increased competition among insurance companies.
Wants to increase military spending.
Will close the border to illegals
Will send the criminals and sponges back.
Will deport all illegals but will let the hard working ones go through the legal process to come back.
Against Anchor babies
Knows unemployment is much higher than official stats.
Will bring jobs back through better trade negotiation.
Attended military academy and Wharton Business School.
Stood up for Birthers and challenged Obama on his fraud. Believes USA is "the greatest force for freedom the world has ever known"
Wants to honor commitments on Social Security and Medicare, which we can afford to do if he gets the economy going full steam.
Wants to reduce the fraud in disability and other programs.
Against marriage penalties in tax code.
Wants to simplify tax code with just 3 simple brackets.
Wants to reduce income taxes and reduce corporate tax.
Wants to rebuild our infrastructure.
Wants to apply welfare-to-work to 76 other welfare programs (2011)
Doesn't have time for political correctness.
Not afraid to call out either party or both when they are wrong.
Not a puppet to rich campaign donors.

“I would have thought Trump would like to get Jindal supporters but by insulting their candidate of choice, especially those who have supported Jindal with their hard earned money, would be less likely to throw their support behind someone, however legitimate”

You mean the 2 or 3 people out there who were for Jindal?

You're grasping at straws. Many might consider Trump's divorces as a negative. But nobody can deny that he's a role model for how ex-wives, children, and grandchildren should be treated.
I told you I think Trump will win the presidency, and if it is a choice between Trump and Hillary, I know which one I do not want. And I do not want JEB either - even tho neither of them is divorced. And neither of them has serial bankruptcies.

My point is that Trump would not have been considered, even by Democrats, when I was young. Conservatives accept, nay embrace, him now because we are desperate. He is the one we trust to be able to win, and to have America’s interests at heart. Whether his policies will all work to the good or not.

I would sooner have Cruz - but I, like many, am not sure that is the actual choice before the primary electorate.

Jindal went off on Trump like a lunatic. Trump was right not to sit back and take it; he stuffed it right back down Bobbie’s throat, from where it came.

Change your diaper.

Hey, dumb-dumb! Did you fully research Jindal’s exit, you fool?

HE took a shot at Trump when he announced he was dropping out. Why should Trump take that without a retort, even the soft one he gave? He also complimented Jindal, while stating a vastly understated fact regarding Bobbie’s bizarre Trump tirades some weeks back.

You’ve allowed your blind support for Cruz, while fine, to deprive you of the facts and any semblance of rationality. Do your homework before you embarrass yourself again.
