Ted Cruz, in an interview with Laura Ingraham was asked about his position on H1-B Visas. Ted explains his position now as opposed to his position in 2013. Cruz and Sessions are crafting legislation to reform the H1-B program and to deal with he abuses that are harming American workers.

The entire interview is excellent and the H1-B visa issue discussion begins around the 7:50 mark.

I'm not a supporter of Trump, but what evidence is there that he currently supports the Dream Act, DACA, or DAPA?

One of the most encouraging developments during this presidential race has been the involvement of Senator Sessions, who knows more about this subject-and has better policies-than any other member of Congress.

Now he against H1b increase, I still am skeptical of him though for the time being, only time will tell.

I agree with that. I'm a strong Cruz supporter and his position on H-1Bs was my biggest disagreement with him. I accept it when he's said he's changed his position on the expansion but the proof will be in the pudding.

American citizens are getting killed by H1B visas.

There is absolutely no point in getting an Information Technology degree when you will not get the job. The job will be filled by an Indian programmer who comes over for a few years, hanging by the skin of his teeth and his H1B visa. These are indentured servants who can’t make a peep, move to any other job, etc. They are wholly beholden to their employer’s good graces. They have to accept lousy wages and working conditions so that they can continue to displace the American worker who is waiting outside the building.

Large corporations want it both ways. They want the cheap Indian programmer, and they want him here so they can control him. Bastards.

Anyone happen to check the encyclopedia length TPP to see if he’s against it now that it is in our trade deal?

He is one of my favorites for President, but he knows why he isn’t running, so I suspect he’s exactly right.

Ted is coming around to Trumps view on this. From Casablanca.

Yes, he changed his tune on TPP some time ago. He first read it and thought the language at the time was fine, and that was why he supported TPA in order to get TPP passed.

He is a free trader, that will never change.

I really don’t think criticizing someone’s “flexibility” is a smart bet for a Trump supporter, since Trump’s been “flexible” on just about every position he’s ever held.

You don’t need evidence if you have TDS.

He and Sessions are Leaders!

Teaming up with Sessions tells me everything I need to know. I'm sure they will come up with something that is good for Americans first. I met Sen. Cruz at a fundraiser before the last election. He sure seems like the real deal to me.

It wasn’t 2013. It was a few months ago. If he’s really changed his position, great, lets hear his new one.

Ok, I'm a dope, but can we give an incentive to companies to hire American? Example: in these tax reform programs that set a uniform tax rate for companies — how about a lower rate for those companies which hire American and a higher rate for those which import workers?

Now, how would we tell if companies are hiring American? Would it create a whole new bureaucracy that would defeat the purpose of tax simplification? I don't know.

I'm just not sure a flat out ban on legal immigrants would be good for business if the business has an opportunity to hire a legal immigrant who has special skills Americans don't have.
