The story here is Will vs Bill.

They really went at it the other day on O'Reilly's show. It is very unusual to see anything like this. It is one thing for these commentator folk to criticize their counterparts on other networks but doing so to a guy in the office down the hall is noteworthy. That goes both ways in this case. Will went after Bill and Bill returned fire, Big Time.

Since O'Reilly is at least a Semi-God at Fox one wonders if George Will actually realizes how far he has wandered off the reservation. Or perhaps he is a short-timer, already given notice by Fox, and on his way to CNN or MSNBC.

You do know that Will got in a bit of trouble in 1980 for coaching Reagan prior to the Carter debate and then going on the air afterwards to praise Reagan? It was a fairly serious conflict of interest. His wife, mentioned in this column, held a couple of positions in the Reagan administration. In no way could be be reasonably called anti-Reagan.
