Yale students shout down professor

This video shows the moment dozens of students encircled a Yale University official and screamed at him for sending an email telling them to ignore people dressed in offensive Halloween costumes.

Nicholas Christakis, the master of Silliman College at Yale, was surrounded after telling students to allow others to exercise free speech by wearing what they wanted on Halloween.

He was shouted down as he tried to explain why he believed students should be able to wear what they want, with one young woman yelling at him and telling him to 'shut the f*** up'.

The email - sent by associate master Erika Christakis, Mr Christakis' wife - said: 'If you don't like a costume someone is wearing, look away, or tell them you are offended.

'Talk to each other. Free speech and the ability to tolerate offence are the hallmarks of a free and open society.'

However, some students saw this as a free pass for people to wear offensive costumes that could be seen as discriminatory.

The black mass at Harvard did not go off, and the president of Harvard personally criticized the stunt, although she did nothing in her capacity as President to stop it. (There is something incongruous above President Faust objecting to a Black Mass.)

It looks like the “Poison” Ivy League is successfully turning out another generation of radicals and subversives to take the place of the Vietnam era radicals, and further America down that road of their socialist utopia ideal.

I watched the video. Good gravy.

Perpetually outraged SJW: “SHUT UP! It’s your JOB to create a zone of comfort and safety for the students...you have not done that....”

Headmaster: “I don’t agree with that premise...”

Perpetually outraged SJW: “THEN WHY THE BLEEP DID YOU ACCEPT THE POSITION?!!?!?”

And people wonder where the “brownshirts” were found and recruited.

All over some freakin Halloween costumes... you better not wear a sombrero or you are a damn racist! According to these spoiled brats on campus. War paint too from what I hear. No fooling around dressing as an Injun honest or otherwise.
If I were the administration I would tell these cranks to cease and desist or be expelled

MIT and Caltech are still what they used to be, as far as I know

Caltech yes. MIT is a shadow of its former self - wrapped up in the Cambridge Massachusetts conceit over its own presumed towering and unquestionable brilliance rather than actually doing anything.

"This is how the cultural revolution in China started. Students were going after their teachers for not being radical enough."

It is indeed. I see the Red Guard behavior in American schools intensifying these days. I would very much like to see some of those arrogant little cockroaches...girls included...get stepped on real hard.

Not too very long ago—pre-`youth revolution’—outrageous behavior like this would get students expelled.
But university administrators responsible for discipline probably did similar things in the `60s.

Freakish student behavior shouldn’t be tolerated. If Yale is dumb enough to let to remain, more power to them in their little hell.

Most Yale students are politically correct, naïve pieces of sh*t.
